Rebel

Light – challenges authority to effect social change – rejects spiritual systems that do not serve inner needs

Shadow – rejects legitimate authority out of anger – rebels out of peer pressure or anger

Look for a lifelong potential of rebelling against the establishment. But even if the rebel isn’t part of your inner circle, you probably have it to some extent and should pay attention to it!

Hands up those who “know” that they have this archetype? Well, I know I do! I am out and proud and love and respect this archetype. If the truth be known the rebel archetype of John Winston Lennon is one reason why I admired him so much in this life. I always make sure that I have several reminders of him around me at all times – keeps me focused on the rebel within.

Idealistic and inventive are the traits that the Aquarian Mon will beam into our lives today. If you are looking for creative solutions to problems then this moon phase will support that process. We are in her final day of influence. It is easy to become detached when the moon is in Aquarius and we can focus more acutely on the power of the mind.

Three days are highly communicative with the potential for mental gymnastics. Racing about or arrangements over cars or transport rate pretty highly on these days also. At the moment I am entrenched in a lot of organising and contractual arrangements with my car also.

When I shuffled the cards this morning I asked for a rebellious route to our empowerment. The first card out was the Hermit. It doesn’t sound that rebellious, now does it? Well, the message I get from this card is that we need to be cautious with our rebellious archetype – you’ve got to know when to hold your cards close to your chest and you’ve got to know when to toss them in. He is also telling me that we shouldn’t be rebellious for the sake of it – pick your causes and focus your energy in the direction of your destiny.

The Sun shines optimism on a landscape of restlessness. Apollo is radiant and highly influential in his own way. As a matter of fact he really likes his own way. He is bold and he is gold and he insists that we bathe in the limelight of love.

Hermes is adaptable to any situation. He moves between worlds in a blink of an eye. His message is communication in all modalities. Connect with the power of thought to manifest your desires into reality.

Remember though, it is essential to keep your mind map in a positive realm – stir your inner rebel with a mission to the truth – see where it takes you!

Poet

Light – expresses soul insights in symbolic language

Shadow – turns a lyric gift into negative or destructive effect.

You don’t have to be a published poet to have this one as your archetype. Look for a lifelong need and ability to discover beauty in people and things around you, and express it in a way that helps others see it, too.

The Poet archetype stirs the romantic in all of us. Song writers, authors and all shades of storytellers have the archetype usually in their fifth house (or even lurking in the 9th). My poet seems to be in the ninth.

The Moon in Aquarius, post-eclipse is giving us a chance to let the sunshine in. Although, here in Canberra we are experiencing -5 to a balmy 1 degree – ouch - sure it’s cold but we have the opportunity to wear our wonderful warm woollen coats and pashmenas.

An 11/2 day is a day to get out and meet people I am in a course at the moment so it is a fantastic opportunity to connect with new colleagues. 11/2 days are excellent for agreements and contracts. Keep in mind that we are now one step away from the end of the financial year – so that is an important milestone for Aussies.

Our first card this morning is Judgement – so wise, deliberate steps along the path of knowledge and wisdom. Caution, maturity and clarity are required to ensure that we don’t run aground on our new adventure.

The Lovers requests that we talk openly with our treasured companions. We are exploring new friendships and this is an exciting phase of forming connections for the future. Don’t waste your time with the cast of thousands only focus on the golden connections from the past.

The Emperor cautions that your role is demanding but certainly not out of your realm of expertise. Channel your authority into a positive outcome and make sure you don’t loose your focus on the insignificant territory of the shadow land.

The Poet archetype is not for everyone – although I must admit that we have the potential to connect with the Poet within. I know that the Poet likes solitude and hungers for moments of reflection. Emotional investment is an essential strand to this archetype.

Don’t take him/her for granted as we must nurture and honour the Poet in our lives. Sounds a little self-indulgent, doesn’t it? Of course, but the results are magic.

Rescuer

Light – provides strength and support to others in crisis - acts out of love with no expectation for reward.

Shadow – assumed that the rescued will reciprocate – keeps the rescued one needy.

Observe whether you have always sought to help others in peril, whether for selfish or altruistic motives.

The rescuer insists on a delicate balance with all of our intentions as we choose to rescue others. I can’t help but think about that line from Pretty woman when he asks, so what happens when he rescues the girl and she says she rescues him right back.

I think most people are rescuers. The shadow side varies on the individual and can range from being totally altruistic to seeking acknowledgement to a darker side of the when the rescuer becomes the abuser.

This archetype has many fables and stories even Hollywood has glorified or demonised this archetype. It is us to you as the individual to choose which side of the archetype you want to operate.

It’s a 10/1 day so out with the old and prepare for the new. I began this process yesterday. I decided to honour the day after the eclipse with a new pair of boots (sorry Sir Paul). That’s right, I’ve been living in Canberra for a few years now and I’ve not brought a pair of boots until yesterday. These boots are made for walking….

I also encountered a massive sale of summer clothes at Blue Illusion. How could I resist? Well, I didn’t! Items were priced down from $129.95 to $9.95. And when I got to the counter to pay for them there was another 30% off that reduced price. Essentially, I’ve updated my spring and summer wardrobe for under $50.00. I could not believe the gems I brought – awesome!

With all of that enthusiasm and energy bursting inside I decided it was time to clear out the closet. I scrutinised my clothes and moved seasons around (I’ve been meaning to do that all winter – 3 weeks ago!). Now I have a large bag of beautiful clean quality clothes to donate.

The Moon is in the friendly sign of Aquarius. Networking is prominent under this 11th house ruler.

The Fool emerges after a dark period of reflection. His enthusiasm is contagious and he has no concrete plans as yet; although, his energy is definitely on the boil.

The Chariot sweeps in and takes us in a new direction – hold on tight to the reigns as it going to be a wild and exciting ride. The crossroads appear up ahead – are you ready for a new direction?

The High Priestess reminds us to take the library with us on our journey. Keep the secrets of the past locked away – safe and secure. Remember the journey out of Hades? It was fraught with danger and dastardly obstacles. You don’t need to go back there again – well not in this lifetime anyway!

The rescuer archetype holds a powerful message – while you may be willing to go out on a limb for others make sure you keep your feet firmly planted on the ground.

Have a happy and cleansing day!

Saboteur

Light – highlights your fear of self empowerment and the changes it would bring to your life.

Shadow – induces self destructive behaviour or the desire to undermine others

Everyone has this archetype.

Can I recommend two great books to you? The first one is by Carolyn Myss and it is called, “Sacred Contracts: Awakening your Divine Potential”. The other one is “Chakras and their Archetypes: Uniting, Energy, Awareness and Spiritual Growth,” by Ambika Waters.

I have carried both of these books with me around the world for over a decade. I still pick both of them up and reading them. Why, mainly, to remind myself about the quest for my personal evolution. When I realise that I am falling into old patterns of behaviour like, victim and saboteur I delver deeper into my motivations.

Are these behaviours racquets or am I exerting these archetypes to gain some benefit, e.g. empathy, attention or even avoidance. And more importantly what do I hope to get out of these archetypes? It’s a highly complex investigation one which we will explore together over time.

It is true though – we all have the saboteur archetype. One way I recognise this one is to give it a face, personality and even an identity (which is not unlike some of the images I choose when I publish my daily column).

What I would suggest however is you choose your personal representation – what/who represents your saboteur within? Is it a forceful villain or is it more subtle and manipulative? Sometimes the saboteur has a voice so whose voice would elicit the saboteur behaviours, perhaps a two-faced goblin – like Gollum? Whatever you choose it must resonate with you and be quickly recognised.

I’ve chosen one for this column so your investigation could start there but please keep in mind that the brain remembers in colour so images are very powerful. I like to give it a sound so music or a voice would have a potent effect also.

Last night I mindfully prepared for my full Moon lunar eclipse ritual. I wrote in my Book of Shadows, I chose significant remanets of my recent past and I arranged all of the items outside for my ritual.

At exactly 9:30pm I began the process of releasing the past with the kind words of love and healing. As the flames engulfed the papers I sent the smoke off with love and gratitude. I looked up and witnessed the eclipse pass over the glorious silvery orb above. I felt the negativity and disappointment surge out of my body.

I invited my husband to join me in this ritual. He had been my support and loving guide through the past experiences. He had listened, ached and cried with me as I journeyed into Hades and back again. We embraced and whispered, “We survived and we are strong and powerful – thank you for the lessons and now I release them with love and gratitude.”

After the outside practice we had a long hot bubble and salt bath. Sitting in the bath I flicked over the experiences like leafing through an old book. As the water drained from the bath I watched the dead cells of these experience drain into the sewer. They are gone but not forgotten. They are in my library and I can take them out whenever I choose but for now they are filed under, E for Experience. I am proud of my achievements and of the mere fact that I am now stronger and am more fulfilled. So Be It!

Today the moon waits in the sign of Capricorn. She is still full and a little unsteady on her pedestal. The energy of the eclipse is draining and exhausting, I should imagine. The Sun is in Cancer so the balance between work and family is highlighted.

It’s a number nine day so conclusions and resolutions are prominent. It’s almost time to begin again however we must resolve issues from the past that we no longer need.

Our reading begins joyfully with the Jupiter ruled Wheel of Fortune blasting through the morning spread. This is a positive affirmation that our decision to relinquish the past pain is a constructive leap toward a new phase.

Temperance demonstrates the balance of enlightenment after the dark experiences of the past. You can’t possibly expect to come to this place unless you choose a higher perspective.

Judgement celebrates the shedding of the past. Let go of the pain you’ve endured – what will you do with it anyway? Wear it as a badge of honour – there is much more appropriate apparel to wear, believe me!

Hop on board the Chariot as we are about to experience the ride of our lives; the next eclipse is just around the course – so sit down, buckle up and scream, “Infinity and Beyond!” So Be It!

Samaritan

Light – refines your capacity to help those you would prefer to ignore

Shadow – exacting appreciation and recognition for the help you offer

Look for a pattern of going out of your way to help others with no regard for whether they are family, strangers, or even enemies.

As a number nine life path this archetype has been woven into my tapestry. I’ve always felt the need to help, support and guide others. Ultimately I desire to be in a position to facilitate great changes in people’s lives – especially those who dwell in marginalised fractions of society.

While a philosophical path exists for me I find it difficult to cope with the fact that I have little financial wealth to offer at this time. However, I am confident that I will come to a place in my life when this is not a consideration.

Today is a number eight day which facilitates balance and harmony. There is a business; career and public profile focus with the full Moon lunar eclipse in Capricorn tonight at 9:30pm. For those who have staggered on to the wrong path this eclipse can be virtually life changing. For others who have already made the changes this can be a time of extreme potential to break through barriers.

Capricorn is deliberate and yet unrelenting in his pursuit of ambition and goal-focused achievement. It doesn’t matter if it business or pleasure – there is always a plan and a long to do list.

This Full Mon is filled with explosive potential. The stars of the show are Capricorn and Cancer. Of course the energy will play out on an individual level too which will ultimately impact on all of us in some respect.

The Hanged man encourages us to see beyond the illusion of now – look for the subtleties and seek the Utopian world of your hearts desire.

The Empress grunts and groans as she waits for the bairn to arrive – it’s not time yet so sit quietly and breathe.

The Hierophant is my hero with this quiet and intelligent demeanour. He will not be rocked off his throne as he knows that worry and angst are a waste of energy. He whispers, “change from the inside out and be the Samaritan”.

Of course there are famous Samaritans – people who come to mind like Mary Mackillop (http://www.marymackillop.org.au/) , Mother Theresa and Ghandi. That was their destiny – to share their light with the world. Our deeds may not be as revered but we can still make a difference in our own unique way.

Love, Peace and Light,

Julia Ashton-Sayers

Scribe

Light – preserving knowledge and information

Shadow – altering facts or plagiarising other’s work.

Look for a pattern of compiling information not for personal gain, but for the joy of preserving it and sharing it with the world.

This archetype really resonates with my soul. There are so many aspects of the Scribe that align with my astrology and unconscious motivations. I’ve always been a seeker personality and to follow up on that I’ve felt compelled to take notes and share it with the world. Fortunately the internet gives me that opportunity.

Reflection is the key note we will hum today. After the events of yesterday in the Australian political landscape its time to sit and consider the view. Unfortunately, we can’t contemplate our navel for too long as there is work to be done!

Mercury moves from Gemini into Cancer today. So, the rhetoric may be a little emotional; although I think that we’ve witnessed a little of that from our former Prime Minister yesterday.

On an individual level I have dealt with my former employer regarding my final pay and I can expect the correct remuneration in my bank today. How did I do that? I was honest and sincere with a tincture of assertiveness. On the other side of that, the representative from my previous employer was rude, obnoxious and arrogant. I chose to disconnect the call and took the discussion to a new level. A carefully worded email mapping out the next three phases of my strategy to resolve the issue.

A couple hours later an apologetic email came to me with an outcome that worked for me – problem solved. My question is, “why do people think that abuse and blame are problem-solving strategies? Anyway, chapter closed.

The Sun offers optimism and celebration. See the reality of the situation as another tick in the box of the learning pathway is achieved.

J is for Justice – will Julia ensure a fair and just government?

The Fool is excited about the new frontier – the darkness of the past has slipped into the crevices of the cave. It’s a bright new day – get out and experience the wonder of human evolution and connectedness.

Don’t forget to document your experiences in the encyclopaedia of your life.

Seeker

Light – thirst for wisdom and truth whatever they are

Shadow – inability to commit to a path once found

Look for a lifetime pattern of constantly moving for one potential source of wisdom or truth to another.

The Moon moves into the philosophical wonder child of Sagittarius. Sadge is the seeker of the zodiac. This moon alignment will be a good influence as we navigate the choppy waters of Mercury clashing with Jupiter today. I already know that I have one difficult conversation on the horizon.

I found out yesterday afternoon that my former employer did not make the final payment for my separation from that workplace. Actually, the news I got was via an email advising that I was not going to get paid but will be, “in due course”.

When I tried to respond to this email I got her voicemail saying, “Sorry I go home at 2:30pm”. So the email was sent just as she was leaving the building. Nice one!

My question is: do I say to my mortgagor, I’ll pay you in due course? Or when I fill my trolley with food, can I say, sorry, I’ll pay you in due course? Or even when I fill my car with petrol? How do you think that will fly?

Discussions regarding money and sex are high on the agenda for Scorpio’s – which subject matter do you think I will be focused on?

It’s a number six day so I will be taking responsibility for my personal security and financial stability.

Justice is the first card out today so legal manifestations is being played out at many levels especially in the business and political realms.

I’ve heard a whisper that Julia Gillard (Libra) has made a play for the top job here in Australia. Kevin Rudd (Virgo) has Saturn sitting on his Sun sign so this will be an interesting day in Australia’s political history.

The Star sees the truth which hovers about the swarm of spites. I know that I will be alright – I know that I will be paid this final pay. My lesson here is faith and deliberation. Have I learned from my visit to the dark caverns of my disillusionment? Do I feel worthy to fight for my self esteem – yes I do beams loud and clear in my subconscious.

Death is the end. The Black Knight charges in and announces that this phase is done and dusted. Close the book on the fools and don’t look back.

The seeker archetype moves forward after the injustice and the lessons are written up in the analogues of history. With the potential of the Sadge Moon and the influx of erratic energy from the full Moon lunar eclipse gathering momentum – anything is possible.

Get rid of the business balls that have dropped in the eternal juggling act. Don’t look down and walk forward with my head held high. Crush the experiences that are no longer relevant.

Love, Peace and Searching for the Truth,

Julia Ashton-Sayers

Shape-shifter

Light – skilled at navigating though different levels of consciousness - ability to see the potential in everything

Shadow – projecting any image that serves your personal agenda in the moment

Look for a lifetime pattern of flexibility and or changeability, or deceptiveness, especially tied to your work or family life.

The Sun and Moon are still in the watery haven of compatibility. However, there is an uncomfortable link to Jupiter so this can take us to places where we shouldn’t go. Keep the emotional waters calm and there should be smooth sailing throughout the day.

Our personal day heralds a day of changes. The five day is unpredictable – erratic and can be exciting. I think I’ve mentioned this before that I love the energy of five and eight – sounds strange doesn’t it? It’s like one end of the spectrum to the other. Well, it is however there is method in my madness.

The five day shakes up the limp and bored whereas the eight seeks harmony and balance. It seems to work for me – remember though, numbers are different forms of energy and energy can be positive or negative (just like everything else in the Universe).

Our morning reading compliments the five day, with the Tower bringing unpredictability and discomfort in our current situation. Why are we being pressured or stirred up to make changes? Why are we being forced to move in a new direction?

The Star suggests that we move toward recognition and reward for our skills and knowledge. Don’t keep pushing your contributions in an area that does not appreciate you. Ride the eclipse season and slide right out of there – it’s the only thing to do!

The Hermit, a Virgo ruled card is a harbinger of change for all of us – he suggests that we make sure that the next move is a wise one – be resourceful and deliberate in our path – don’t be wasteful with your time and energy.

The Shape-shifter archetype works for me as I see this aspect of the diverse roles I slip in and out of during my life. Think about your varied roles and the multitude of masks you wear. The thoughts that flood your consciousness as you navigate the rocky road of your existence combust the significance of these masks. It is quite possible that you’ve been a shape-shifter and not even been aware.

Slave

Light – surrendering your power of choice to the Diving purpose with complete trust.

Shadow – giving your willpower to an external authority out of fear of making your own choices.

Do you have a history of becoming a slave to the system, or is slavery part of genetic history?

The Moon is still in her most passionate and deep sign of Scorpio. She is quite at home snuggling up to her Cancerian friend (Sun is in Cancer). Cancer and Scorpio are both water signs so they are quite compatible. When they get along it can be like wonderful rolling surf and when they don’t it can be as if the ocean rises up and consumes a dark and miserable sky.

People often ask what sign my husband is. I feel that I’ve struck it rich here because is a Scorpio. This has been the most compatible relationship I’ve ever had. Our Sun sign (identity) comes from the same perspective. Our major differences are our Moon signs. His Moon is Cancer and mine is Gemini so I am here writing in my journal and he is preparing breakfast and our lunches.

The Star is gorgeous and vulnerable. She sparkles with radiant wonder. What does she say to us? Well, be prepared to highlight your strengths and abilities – don’t be afraid to be open to new and exciting challenges.

The Lovers asks us to see a different perspective. If we walk in another person’s shoes we would illicit the experience for us to delve deeper into the pool of wisdom. What is it like to feel the same way about a particular situation? Explore, discuss and assess your findings.

The Wheel of Fortune encourages us to see the big picture. Nothing is as it seems – you think you know what is before your eyes but is it real? The illusion is the journey the awareness is the ticket to ride.

We are on the Eve of the eclipse season. Our disappointment can propel us to a new state of being. Don’t be afraid to embrace the changes that are necessary for your growth.

It is a number four day – lay the foundations for a new path. Look at your life – your patterns of living and your responses. Are you enslaved by your perception? Give me some truth – it lingers beyond the ridge.

Love, Peace and Liberation,

Julia Ashton-Sayers

Networker

Light – enhances unity through the sharing of stories and information – engenders social awareness and empathy.

Shadow – conveys information only for personal gain. Spreads fear and falsehood.

Look for a continuing pattern of forging links with others to deliver vital information and ideas.

The Moon in Scorpio and the Sun in Cancer adds a watery feel to the day. Both of these signs are very protective of their home and family. Some Scorps I know can be downright territorial. So if you find yourself going a little over the top when someone borrows your stapler then be careful.

It is winter solstice and time to celebrate our connection with the earth. I also think that it is the shortest day of the year in the Southern Hemisphere.

The Tower represents the values and beliefs we build our lives upon. Uranus is the ruler of this card and this planet brings unexpected changes to our lives. There is more change on the horizon but we will talk about that later in the week.

The Lovers sigh a lustful breath. Gemini is the ruler of this card. Two people who are individuals and yet their heart and story is universal. They communicate intuitively and that is all they need to say.

Temperance is the final card in this reading. Look toward your highest purpose and don’t stop pursuing your dreams. Words and thoughts filter out along the lines of imagination.

Does our legacy live on after we die? Do we stay in touch with our loved ones through our dreams?

Last night I dreamt about my father. It was real. In this dream we had gathered at my parent’s home for Christmas lunch. The house rocked with love and familial joy. Everyone talked at once and were laughing and joking. I pulled back from the scene and he joined me (my Dad). He said, “See I’m not really dead – I live in another realm and you can join me anytime for a visit.

I read the news today – oh boy! Can you believe that the original words to this song have sold for $1.2million – John Lennon would have been hysterical?

Message to whomever sold the manuscript, “please donate the profit to people who are in need?” That’s what John would have wanted, don’t you think? I also think that it completes the circle of life.

Networking for a higher purpose – everyone wins!

PS: I wonder if anyone will pay $1.2 million for my journals one day. I guess it depends on how famous/infamous I become in my lifetime?

Love, Peace and Networking,

Julia Ashton-Sayers

Storyteller

Light – ability to experience and express life through stories and symbols.

Shadow – making up tales that harm others.

You don’t have to be a professional writer but a storyteller’s voice and methods must be essential to your way of communicating and perceiving the world.

This is one of my favourite archetypes. I could play in the light for most of my daily life. With Moon and Jupiter in Gemini in the ninth house there doesn’t seem to be a likely escape from this aspect of my personae (as if I was looking for one!).

I honour and respect my storyteller archetype with the ritual of journal writing and publishing Ezine and EBooks on my website: www.jestacom.biz/newsite what do you to engage with this archetype?

It’s an 11/2 day so learning and seeking knowledge is high on the agenda. The day has an inquisitive zeal with the final day of Sun in Gemini. So communicate your thoughts and feelings before the sun goes over into the fourth house, Cancer. Race around and do the short journeys escapade but take a notebook as there might be some grooving to document. Embrace your inner storyteller.

The High Priestess has many stories to tell. She is not verbose but rather reflective in her demeanour. I don’t want to nap or prompt her instead allow her to share her story when she is ready.

The Empress shares her knowledge by the demonstration of earth changes. The turning on of the seasons heralds a new chapter in her progression. How do we document this cycle? Why is it important to do so?

The Moon is in her illustrious stage captured perfectly on a dark luminous canvas. She is emerging from the dark fertile phase and is preparing for the slightly erratic full moon lunar phase. She rules our emotions and her stories are endless as time itself. Her wisdom is fathomless and unrestricted.

Death suggests that the end is a better place; instead of lingering, procrastinating or even postulation – all facets of fear I would propose. Don’t be afraid to sever the dangling limbs – they are superfluous to your destiny. Pruning and reshaping are essential to support the new buds of spring. Wait, there is more and the winter is time to envision the spectacle of a new season.

The storyteller sits on the Ferris wheel chanting his myths and singing his sonnets. He is entertaining, captivating – his true purpose emanates into the public arena. It’s more than that; he is performing for the healing journey of his life.

Priest

Light – facilitates spiritual commitments – serves as a channel of spiritual energy.

Shadow – violates the trust of your spiritual community – seduced by your own spiritual role.

Look for a lifetime commitment to serving others by facilitating their spiritual rituals.

I have never knowingly or unknowingly worked in the shadow of this archetype. I won’t say that I spend a great deal of time in the light side either. Sure I work with spiritual energies but not in a community sense – more on an individual level.

The moon is in the relationship sign of Libra. The criticism and attention to detail has passed with the exit of the Virgo moon. Now we begin to look at our significant relationships with ourselves and others. The Libra Moon compliments the Gemini Sun perfectly – taking the discussions and relevant dialogues to a new level of intimacy.

It’s a 10/1 day in the cosmic calendar. Endings and beginnings play out while we prepare for the weekend ahead. It’s a cold and windy day in Canberra – and we are snug and warm inside. There will be times when we need to venture out into the crisp air but will be rugged up for sure.

Strength portends the ability to overcome the fear of change and the discomfort of transformation. We stay stuck in a rut when it seems to daunting to change our circumstances. Creature comforts are intoxicating. Does that mean we shouldn’t grab the next ride on the big dipper?

The Sun catches my imagination and takes me toward the Earth Goddess Gaia. She is Mother Earth. Her role is to facilitate seasonal growth. She seems to be sleeping right now but is she? The pregnancy is showing in the glow of knowledge that Spring will herald the birth of a new stage. For now she glistens in her crystalline knowledge that the seasonal shift will arrive on time.

The Priest archetype plays out in the quietness of our most sacred confidences. Honour those words whispered from a tortured soul. Be the confidante that holds the fears of others close to your own heart and take them with you when you leave this earth school.

Love, Peace and Sacred Words,

Julia Ashton-Sayers

Companion: Friend, Side Kick

Light – loyalty, tenacity, unselfishness
Shadow – betrayal by misusing confidences, loss of personal identity.

Look for a life long pattern of playing the loyal companion to others.

I don’t know where I would be without my friends. My golden trusted allies are irreplaceable. Friends have been the lifeblood to my survival. Essentially my existence has been built upon bedrock of family, layered with unconditional love from an awesome man and smothered with the love and friendship of some amazing people. Thank you, one and all!

Yesterday was my first day in my new job! Wow! What a power-packed day? Already I can see the great divide between what was and what will be. I am overwhelmed with excitement and a desire to do the best job possible. I am massively grateful.

The Moon in Virgo is very grounding. During this Moon phase it’s time to check the details, organise completed tasks and document everything precisely. It is also a good time to review your health and wellbeing – check ups at the doctors or start a new wellbeing program.

It’s a number nine day of empowerment and resolution. Change is necessary and in many respects very exciting. However, we must leave the past behind. Don’t you think?

The Star is a source of inspiration. Can you see how brilliant she is in the sky? I am fixated on her glowing and shimmering beauty. Her presence is tantalising – taking us into a state of wonder.

Strength is a constant in our morning readings as we need courage to move in a new direction. Drive a new way or walk a new route. Step away from the flock – it won’t hurt a bit.

The Moon heralds creativity and gentleness. Loyalty and friends are ensconced in her silvery beams. Be your own best friend with words of encouragement and kindness. Don’t be afraid to ask for assistance if the road is too long.

Companions are essential to us and our survival. As human beings we crave to belong to a group or connect with like-minded people. Friendship is a part of that bond where we desire to belong. Enjoy the benefit of the perfect companions for your journey they are the gold on the road.

Love, Peace and Golden Nuggets,

Julia Ashton-Sayers

Pioneer: Explorer, Settler, Pilgrim, Innovator

Light – passion for doing and creating what has not been done before.

Shadow – compulsive need to be moving on.

Ask if your life has been characterised by a need to consistently step on fresh and undiscovered territory in at least one realm.

This is one archetype I engage with quite often. I won’t say that I am an inventor. I will admit to being innovative and an early adapter. I love exploring new realms, unchartered possibilities. I can still remember my favourite childhood phrases as: if not, why not? And of course, the biggee – but why?

Unlike all archetypes I’ve embraced and integrated into my personae I can dance on both sides of this archetype. I must admit that, if I detect that I am not welcome or if the situation is not a good fit then, I am out of there! Pack em up and move em out, Rawhide!

The Moon in Virgo ensures details and documented proof. Virgo is fastidious with their record keeping tasks. This Mercury-ruled sign compliments the Gemini Sun. It is almost guaranteed that the air waves will be filled with a lot of chatter and intellectual jousting.

The number eight business oriented day is excellent for new business ventures. It is a prime time to start a new career path. And so I will. Yesterday I finished a two year commitment to one path and today under the guiding light of the number eight I will take steps in a new direction. Wish me luck!

Yesterday I was taken to lunch by some golden friends. They certainly enriched my life in so many ways. I felt honoured to work with them and most importantly learned a great deal along the way. Of course, the petty and difficult ones are the best teachers. And to those “great teachers” I wish you joy and luck and many good things.

People often ask me why I write in my journal. Well, it’s certainly not to hear myself talk! Primarily it is a cathartic release. And secondly, it is to share my experiences and lessons in the hope that others may benefit in some way. I believe we learn from each other. Thirdly, I believe that if you’ve learned your lesson and document it then you’ll be less likely to have a repeat performance.

Justice stands for truth and integrity. Be honest with yourself as you are the most important person in your life. The Chariot takes you down the road – hold on tight for there is a crossroad up ahead – which way will you go? Strength and courage is required Pilgrim. If you are heading in a new direction leave the past behind. But don’t be afraid to drink from the pool of inspiration – innovative thinking is always a little tricky.

If you respond with a smile and a raised eyebrow you can get away with almost anything. Be adventurous – don’t be afraid to step out ad try something new – seek the pioneer in you!

Virgin

Light – maintaining symbolic purity of heart and spirit.

Shadow – fear of intimate union.

See if you have consistently preserved your energies for artistic or spiritual pursuits.

The Moon in Leo is at her creative best. She is showy and become a little glowy. The slither is expanding each night building to her most glorious and beautiful best.

Leo is a lovely compliment to the Gemini Sun – air and fire work well together. Well, let’s face it – one can’t survive without the other. It’s a time to speak up for yourself but not to be arrogant or verbose.

A number seven day suggestions reflection and inner sanctuary. Quite the opposite to our astrological influence of communicate and grand cosmic performance. For many years I didn’t not savour the essence of the seven day, month or even year, now I realise the importance of each sacred number.

The seven asks us to reflect on our commitment (yesterday – six day) to ourselves and others. Have we been the best that we can be? Can we do things better? How can we strive toward the person we are destined to be if we are always on the front foot and never take time to step away from the crowd?

I intend to engage with the seven day by reflecting on the goodness and positives in my world. I am massively grateful for many facets and I want to honour them with love and gratitude.

The Fool waits for non-one. Well he’s endured time in the cave and now it is the period for play. He prompts us to skip through the day with joy in our hearts and love infused in every step.

Apollo reaches down and kisses my forehead. See I told you that I was blessed. Love, good food and oceans of happiness shimmer throughout this glorious day.

Judgement counsels: leave the past behind – take care with the scrolls of history and lock them away in the dungeons of despair. You won’t be going there again so why should you continually blot the pages with your tears and disappointment.

Virgin conjures all sorts of images from our individual perspective. I don’t see her as an individual but rather as a concept whom we embrace when the time is right.

Love, Peace and Purity,

Mediator

Light – gift for negotiating fairness and strategy in personal and professional life. Respect for both sides of an argument.

Shadow – negotiating with ulterior motive or hidden agenda – either personally or professionally.

You must have a life-long commitment to resolving disputes and bringing people together.

The Mediator archetype is a familiar role for me (Libra ascendant you see). In most cases I sit quite comfortably in the light however there are times when I’ve drifted into the shadow archetype. Of course this transgression has caused a jolt to my awareness. I don’t like to be unfair and I don’t choose to be negative pushing a hidden agenda. Although to be perfectly honest I have been guilty in some negotiations.

Why do we do that? Or should I own it and say, why have I done that? Well, in my defence for various reasons I suppose – some good some not so good. I guess it draws from a baseline of insecurity. With my hand on my heart I can with good conscience say that I’ve carried out the role of mediator in most circumstances in the light side of this archetype.

The Moon in Cancer lingers a while in the emotional realm. The Sun is still in Gemini and the elements of air and water are not entirely compatible. I offer in fairness of these two resident signs that Gemini adds the bubbles to the deep emotional world of the crab.

It’s a number six day and a time to take responsibility for your actions. The investment of our time and energy in the minefield of our workplace is a heavy load, one which I’ve personally invested a great deal of me. In honour of that investment I am having a toil day off to prepare for new horizons. This sacred time gives me the opportunity to reflect and give thanks for lessons learned. It’s a valuable segue into the next stage of my working journey.

The Devil breathes his feted breath into our reading this morning. Our duty to ourselves it to relinquish the bonds of oppression – no one deserves to be held back or trampled on. We all deserve to shine in our special and most magnificent way. Fling the chains of doom off your arms and legs and fly toward the silver slither of moon – the wait a while until the perfect star appears. Me, I’m waiting for Venus to arrive.

The Sun offers optimism. What more is there? Sure hope is glorious too! Especially in the dark times when the Sun appears we know that everything will be alright in our world. The golden glow liquefies the darkness of our fears and melts them in a blink of an eye.

Death augurs the end of a phase. Haven’t we been here before? Or is there still more to shed? Let go, let love into your life. Don’t be afraid to look to the horizon for a new and brilliant day. This is the only reason we endure the night.

The Hermit walks steadily through our reading this morning. His demeanour is calm and resolute. His gait is measured and purposeful. Walk with him toward a new chapter – make sure you carry the lantern of wisdom with you.

Have I ever told you how much I enjoy the thrill of a new book or page in my journal? I am such a stationery girl. Each book is like starting a fresh year at school. Untouched, unblemished and just waiting for the pen to connect with the unconscious flow of ideas and creation urges.

The pages are pristine and everything is clean and fresh – unlived – perfect in every way. I use to hunger for the new pages – the New Year now I am excited about the flow to gather me up and take me toward a new destination across a page of realisation.

This morning I began a new diary. I want to share these revelations with you. I hope you enjoy the journey as much as I’ve loved learning and growing in the silence of my unchartered words and thoughts.

The Mediator archetype has taught me to stand and deliver to negotiate my way through the mire. I’ve taken on this role numerous times to ensure that I overcome the addiction to the new. It takes commitment and responsibility – traits that are borne out of hard lessons in Saturn’s School of Hard Knocks and Truisms.

Love, Peace and Reality Checks,

Julia Ashton-Sayers

Queen

Light – radiates the regal feminine and uses her benevolent authority to protect others.

Shadow – becomes arrogant when authority is challenged – controlling and demanding.

Look for a pattern of authoritative control over others throughout your life.

The Moon in Cancer offers a nice close to a busy long weekend in OZ. We’ve come to nelson Bay to connect with family and see our new little grand-nephew (my mother’s great grandson).

We hugged him and whispered lots of loving and warm words – we admired his good looking cherub face and paid homage to his cuteness. We were delighted to meet this little fellow. It was blissful to be here.

One of the most enchanting aspects of the weekend was to witness my brother in the role of grandfather – priceless! This transition was phenomenal considering his life journey and the challenges he has overcome; thank you all of my magical family for a fantastic weekend.

Today is a day five – a day of changes. We are packing up to go home. The march of the crabs I should think. It will be a long drive – one which will be tiring no doubt. And by all accounts a great relief when the roller door rises on our home.

The Hermit represents caution and deliberate care on the trip home. There is movement in this gorgeous family mansion. Excitement is building for the return journey. The tick of door waits for no one. The Hermit prompts us once again to be careful. Maintain an even flow in the pursuit of a balanced life.

The Hanged Man encourages us to take our dreams with us as we traverse our daily grind. Don’t be afraid to dream for they are the seeds of the future fields. Cosmic energy cracks over yonder offering the dynamic lifter to our hopes and wishes. Life is unpredictable and massively exciting. Let go of the rain and step out from the curb – prepare to fly.

The Empress is the Goddess giving birth. The pain of the labour does not compare to the ecstasy of the new phase. Breathe – push – grunt – groan – ahh there she is this is our moment to goo-gah and celebrate the fresh fertile phase.

A day five has the potential to change directions and decision. The Queen archetype resides us all. Consider the light and dark fairy tale queens. Which one would you choose to be? Are you the Black Queen? Or are you the kind and benevolent one?

Is your intention channelled into the goodness for all or are you determined to rule and control your loyal subjects? My intention is to come from a place of unconditional love and respect. I desire the good to come to all I encounter. And so be it!

Love, Peace and Goodness,

Julia Ashton-Sayers

Femme Fatale

Light – highlighting the erotic energy of the feminine. Open your heart when your dependence is rejected.

Shadow – inappropriate use of sensuality - attachment to money and power.

Look at the pattern of manipulative behaviour and acquisitiveness.

It’s a 10/1 day with endings and beginnings as a priority. Something must come to an end so that the new can appear. What do you need to conclude?

Mercury enters his natal sign of Gemini today so the communication will flow a lot easier. If you need to have a big discussion with anyone then today is the day to get into it.

I feel that these are exciting times especially with Uranus and Jupiter skipping across the cosmos. It is sort of like a touch of paprika in the stew.

Life has taken an exciting hue for me over the past week. Although I must admit I’ve been on a roller coaster ride. I hope your week has been fantastic though.

The High Priestess records every deed done dirt cheap in her book of secrets. She is courageous – there is denying that she is relentless in her pursuit of the truth. What the point of recording the history of your existence if it is sprinkled with fairy floss and lies?

Death heralds the ten phase with his stoic appearance in our reading today. Did I ever tell you that I quite often dream about three horsemen on black stallions prancing around a small caravan on the seaside? This is a small round old fashioned caravan parked at the edge of the water. I am inside alone giving birth. Quite often this dream portends a new phase in my life – I am quite certain that after dreaming this same dream there is something pretty special on the horizon.

The Hermit appears as the calm rational mind. The world may be spinning out of control and yet he maintains his gait and is careful where he walks. We can learn a lot from this visitor to our psyche.

NB: When I cast the morning spread I do so on the premise that the reading is for all of us. Anyone of these cards may relate to you and your journey.

In closing however, does the femme fatale relate to your? Well, if you are a woman you may have used your feminine wiles to gain ground in a relationship. Although I don’t want to be gender specific here as I’ve seen some men play with this archetype too – so keep it light and you’ll be alright.

Love, Peace and Femineity,

Julia Ashton-Sayers

Hermit

Light – seeks solitude to focus intently on inner life. Serves personal creativity.

Shadow – withdraws from society out of fear or negativity, judgements of others refusing to help those in need manifestations of intolerance, loathing, or fear of others, or refusal to help those in need.

Look for longstanding need to retreat into yourself to marshal your powers.

I can definitely identify with this archetype. At times I’ve been the Hermit, what about you? I only hope it has been more of the light side to be honest. Although I know that there have been times when the shadow aspect has crept in. I’ll have to keep an eye on that.

It’s a number nine day of resolution and empowerment. This is an excellent day to take control of your current situation and seek a resolution that works for you.

The Moon has moved into the pragmatic Taurean Moon phase. Life should begin to settle down and the hustle and bustle of the merry-go-round should creak to a slower pace. Let’s face it, life has been a little frantic with the Arian influence – now we should be able to take a breath and smell the roses.

The Sun is the golden orb shinning across our morning spread. Apollo the Sun God wishes us all good things that enrich our lives. Things such as: good health, quality food, music, good friends and joyous times. Those ingredients are the true meaning of life, don’t you think?

The Hierophant appears again. He is sturdy and focused. What part of our soul requires the rendering of love and compassion? Chiron is present in the cosmos right now and it is time to heal.

The Tower brings lightning bolts out of the blue. This card represents the unexpected opportunities to prove our self worth. Don’t let others tear you down – stand strong in the face of adversity – fight for what you believe to be true (metaphorically speaking of course).

All archetypes may filter through your life like a passing parade of ghostly images. Some may permeate your reality and you can wear them for eons. The Hermit archetype is healthy social and work life balance.

I am guilty of engaging with the Hermit within even when I am in a crowded room or part of a social activity. The deep recesses of my mind creep in and kidnap my sense of now.

Have to watch that, now won’t I?

Love, Peace and Hiding-out,

Julia Ashton-Sayers

Hero/Heroine

Light – passion for a journey of personal empowerment.

Shadow – escapism and a false sense of heroism.

Look for a history of facing and overcoming odds in both material and spiritual realms.

The Aries Moon is in the Balsamic phase which is ripe for letting go of the past. Tie up loose ends and rid yourself to of the baggage you’ve been toting around. Announce the changes that lie ahead and rid you of the shackles of oppression. It’s time to move on and its time to forge ahead along a new road.

It’s a number eight day. This is an executive number. Eight days are great for business proposals and discussing future agreements. This is also a good day for negotiating conditions that may be relevant to your workplace.

Death augurs the end of a painful past. Death literally means endings and letting go. This maybe painful and it may be an emotional release however there is a new day waiting across the ridge. Moving on is painful and in some respects a little scary however the future looks bright so don’t wallow for too long. It is just a waste of energy and lets face it you will need all of your reserves for the journey ahead.

The Hierophant is a teacher. He is also a healer. He shows us the power of revealing the wounded part of ourselves. He is a gentle guide in the dark and stormy night of the soul. His vulnerability makes him strong – his warmth and devotion invites us to belong. Welcome home – come back to the love you deserve.

The Emperor takes no prisoners on his quest to the top of the mountain. Don’t loose focus and don’t drown in self pity. There is no time for long goodbyes and tearful regrets. The time is now for letting go and embracing a new and powerful beginning in your life. Life is far too short for squandering the opportunity for peace and love.

The Hero/Heroine teaches us so much about who we are. Some people are addicted to this archetype as it brings the glory of recognition and celebration. In some cases others seem to consistently face the struggle of daily life without ever reaching the summit. Which archetype are you?

Love, Peace and Bravery,

Julia Ashton-Sayers

Judge: critic, examiner, mediator, arbitrator

Light – balancing justice and compassion managing the fair distribution of power.

Shadow – offering only destructive criticism, misusing business, legal or criminal authority.

Look for a history of mediating between people, and a life- long learning process of developing high standards of justice and wisdom.

It’s a number seven day which bodes well for inner reflection. So it is a good time to ask you, am I being judgemental? Or, do I only offer constructive critique? Do you realise that a negative comment is likely to stay with someone much longer than a positive one? I do. Negative comments tarnish our self-esteem and undermine self confidence. Is that what you want to offer another person? I know I don’t. I know that I don’t like it when it happens to me so I am particularly mindful when I communicate feedback to others that I don’t leave them with a poor perception of themselves.

The Moon is in Aries and this has a powerful feel. Aries are dynamic and focused. They love being motivated and demonstrative. They bring initiative and momentum to projects.

Mars the ruler of Aries is shifting from Leo into Virgo. This move takes us from the focus of our identity to a more rounded view of work and health – daily routines actually. I am feeling the shift already – what about you?

The Lovers are our first card out this morning. Balanced communication and idealistic love are attached to this card.

The Chariot brings a hectic pace to our journey. And the Hierophant requests that we offer love and understanding in lieu of nasty barbs and a sour face.

Every time we speak we have the choice to hurt or heal. I know I’ve been unfairly critical at times. My Mercury is in Scorpio and this is a heavy legacy. While this alignment is part of my earthly curriculum it doesn’t mean that I’ve felt good about my negative interactions. For those whom I’ve hurt on my journey of discovery – please forgive me.

Love, Peace and Forgiveness,

Julia Ashton-Sayers

Child Magical

Light – seeing the potential for sacred beauty in all things. The belief that everything is possible.

Shadow – pessimism, depression and disbelief in miracles. Believing that energy that action is not requested for growth.

I think that we can all oscillate between the light and shadow aspects of each archetype. In my view this is definitely one archetype I can shift between quite easily. And there will be others – I am positive. I am quite excited about this journey and I hope you are too!

The Moon in Aries has a power packed fresh vibrant feel. I can sense the new phase entering my life and I am ready! I feel positive in my anticipation. It almost feels as if I’ve waited months for this to happen. There is lightness in my spirit and a sense of wonder in my heart and soul.

It’s a number six day and the perfect day to commit to and take responsibility for ourselves. I’ve decided to officially begin a major life style change which represents the end of one phase and the beginning of another. Actually there are a couple of changes on the horizon and I will share them with you at the appropriate time.

I weighed myself this morning and was pleasantly surprised that I had lost 1.1 kilos – perhaps the weighting is over – nice!

The Sun is in Gemini and therefore our days are influenced by this mercurial sign. Lots of chatter, short journeys and contact with siblings seems to be high up on the list or priorities. Geminis are experiencing a new birthday phase so that is like a huge birthday gift from the Universe. How lovely? Happy birthday, Geminis!

Our morning spread affirms the contents of my journal entry for today (as it often does). The Star is the optimistic, “magical child”. She sees the good in people and focuses on the potential in all possibilities.

The Wheel of Fortune takes us from one “fated experience” to the next leg on our magical carpet ride. One door must close before a new one opens. I am enthralled by the promise of stepping on to a new carpet that will take me to the next leg of my journey.

The Empress smiles with a warm knowing glow. She knows that I’ve waited grunted, groaned and that the pain of weighting has been unbearable at times. The labour is nearly over and the babe represents the fresh promise of a new arrival.

Shifting between archetypes is not a bad thing – being stuck in one aspect holds the lure of something a little more sinister, I believe. Can you think of anyone or even a group of people who would portray the magical child who is stuck? I know I can!

Love, Peace and Magical Child within,

Julia Ashton-Sayers

Servant

Light – delight in serving others with a free and loving heart.
Shadow – using the lack of money as an excuse not to move forward in life.

So here we are on our journey through the Archetypes. Archetypes have been around since at least the time of Plato, who referred to pre-existing ideal templates as Forms.

Other philosophers referred to the concept in passing, but it was the 20th century visionary Swiss psychologist, Carl Jung who put archetypes on the map of modern consciousness.

Our journey through diverse archetype representations will be under the guidance of Carolyn Myss (www.myss.com) and her “Archetype Cards.” Over the next 80 days we will explore each card in our morning conversations in Julia’s Journal. I hope that you will enjoy this enlightening journey and delight in which archetypes are most prevalent in your psyche.

After shuffling the cards this morning the first archetype is: Servant. If making choices that serve your highest potential is a substantial and personal issue for you, then consider this archetype for your support team.

Prometheus was the ultimate Servant. He was willing to give up his happiness and life. He chose to hang upside on the tree of life for eternity – are you?

The Moon is in Pisces – the 12 though. This position is perfect for us to delve into our subconscious and retrieve what lingers beneath.

Pisces is creative and romantic so this Moon phase is inclined to delight us with her moves in this part of our lives. Is there anyone whom you wish to move with your creative magic? Do you feel like writing a poem or love song? Well, now the Moon is supporting these creative urges.

Remember romance comes in many different guises and in some cases it is totally unpredictable. It opens the heart and mind and fine tunes the memory channel.

The World offers fresh fruit ripe for the picking. Seeds that we planted many moons ago are now blooming on the vine. The vine has taken root and seeped into many aspects of our lives. The thorns have pricked our hearts and ripped our souls but still we pursue with the passion of life.

So does this garden analogy impact on our self esteem? Sure it does! Well, it ruins your life – if you allow it! That is entirely your choice.
It’s a number five day of changes. So do you want to shift from the shadow attribute to the light? Once again you have free will and this is up to you.

Archetypes are both ancient and Universal. They become personalised when they’re part of our psyche.

Archetypes are not passive entities floating around in the psyche like old family portraits hanging in a dusty ancestral castle. They take an active role as guardians and inner allies awakening you when you are in danger of falling into destructive behaviours (Carolyn Myss).

All archetypes have shadow aspects as well as positive aspects. Your relationship with each card is entirely up to you! There is no judgement here in the “School of Jules”. All I ask is that you are honest with yourself. It’s for your own evolution and enlightenment path. And we all move along this path at different speeds. Some of us are lightning fast and other like to take the scenic route. Some of us become intimidated and frozen in fear and that is okay – for a time. Try not to linger for too long at the pond of procrastination – it smells down there!

On a personal note: I can still remember when as I child I complained about doing the dishes. My father would sing: “Cinderella, Cinderella – my little Cinderella” and do a little jig. Nice memory, Dad!

Love, Peace and Memories,

Julia Ashton-Sayers

Creation – Zincite

I follow my joy to abundance, prosperity and fulfilment.

Zincite has appeared to remind us that creativity is called for in our lives. You are a naturally creative being and one of your roles on the Earth plane is to master the processes of creation and manifestation. An integral tool in learning to create is the energy of your own sexual drive. This drive is the same energy that you utilised as a child to create play out of your dreams and ideas. During puberty, this energy becomes almost exclusively channelled toward sexual expression. It is time to reclaim this important source of personal power by learning to channel this potent force into the higher realms of being.

Zincite has come to remind us of the joy we once found in releasing this energy through play and creativity. Allow the energy of Zincite to open and activate your second chakra, awakening the creative force within. Breathe the energy upward through your central chakric column, allowing it to clear and activate the higher chakras with its powerful vibration. By activating this powerful inner force of creativity, you will increase your ability to manifest new ideas, experience and abundance in your life.

Zincite has come as a teacher on this quest of self knowledge and expression. Invoke the energy of Zincite and utilise the fire of your own being to transform and transmute your reality.

I am really excited to be able to present this Ally as our final card in the crystal path to self knowledge. These cards are amazing and the book has phenomenal messages and insights. I strongly suggest that you purchase your own copy and enjoy the journey whenever you choose. The name of the book is: “The Crystal Ally Cards: The Crystal Path to Self Knowledge” by Naisha Ahsian.

While our morning crystal discoveries have showcased these cards and word of creation they have been promoted with love, respect and honour. Part of my role on this Earth plane is that of a teacher. To research, refine and ultimately share the insights and creativity that flows into my world and share it with you. It is up to you to absorb, share and assimilate if you choose.

So where to from here? Well, you will just have to wait. I have a surprise journey for us to share – something a little different fact. For now, let’s see what our number four day has in store!

A number four day is a great day for laying foundations. The stability of the four is appealing in many ways as this number offers strategic process of goal setting and boundary maintenance.

Justice is still lingering in our morning readings. She is compelling and determined to bring agreement – issues and contracts to fruition. Her composure is stoic and her determination – unrelenting. Mind games and manipulation is brushed aside with a swish of her sword.

The Moon is in creative, poetic and psychic Pisces. She is also the second player in our reading this morning. Her luminous splendour is encouragement to every creative soul to remain trying to the art.

Strength is required in every aspect of our daily lives. We forget about the courage required to face the demons on our torturous path. Doing battle with the tormentors takes an ordinate amount of strength. Don’t you think?

The Star glistens as the final card in our morning spread. She does not dwell for too long in one location. Her promise is to bring joy and beauty to each exquisite moment and then sparkle on regardless somewhere else.

Zincite is the final stop on our crystal path to self knowledge – but is it? Is it an ending or a beginning? Is this it? Os there more for us to learn, grow and gaze in wonder at the avalanches of enlightenment that crash upon our awareness.

I hope you’ll stay around and see where our next phase will take us. I’m sure that you won’t be disappointed.

Love, Peace and Enlightenment Bound,

Julia Ashton-Sayers

Grounding - Smokey Quartz

I am a channel for Spirit on Earth

This is not the prettiest of quartz however; it is an effective grounding stone. I have smoky quartz on my PC as this crystal is known for its strong grounding qualities.

On the other hand, let’s face it who wants to be grounded? Well, it is necessary if we are to be a high functioning resident on this earth.

We need to reconnect with the Earth upon which we live. You have chosen the Earth plane as your home for this lifetime; and even though you may long for the return to the freedom your energetic state of being you must renew your tasks before you can return to those higher realms of energy.

It’s a number three day with communication and short jaunts on the menu. Life seems to take on a buzz when we are in the three grooves. The Sun and moon add to this light, airy, mercurial feel with a great deal of energy flooding in the air waves.

A number three day is a restless energy. There seems to be a glow of magic and unpredictability on days like these. People become impatient and take risks – more than usual in fact. So be careful out there people. Get real and get grounded.

The Wheel of Fortune is such a positive start to the day. I can almost hear the crackling of the music out there on the fair ground. Hot dogs and fairy floss sift through the air as you step up for the ride of your life. She’s got a ticket to ride and she don’t care. Actually that is my ring tone at the moment – so what does that mean, I wonder?

The Devil prances and snarls outside my door. He stalks the corridors of the half lived. They take him into their hearts and infuse the negativity and destruction into their vile deceitful dialogue. The wickedness of the white ants knows no bounds. Don’t despair – their day will come. Karma thrives on the Bad Lands.

The Tower is built upon shifting sands. Our values and beliefs are invested in each crevice. The tempest looms along the ridges of our expectations. Stand fast and proud – what else is there to do?

The Hierophant reaches down and touches us with a healers embrace. Empathy drips from his smile with an effortless grace. We are safe and protected beneath his royal robes – hold still – wait – there is no where to go – not right now anyway!

Smokey quartz is a strong Ally on the island of turmoil. This stone reminds us of the power of now and insists that it is important to – just BE.

Love, Peace and the Power of Now!

Cycles – Moonstone

I move with the cycles of life with joy and acceptance.

I have lots of Moonstone in my life. She is a beautiful stone to wear and to have close to me. It seems that my life is a series of cycles and Moonstone is always close to guide me through the changes.

Everything within our lives has its cycle. Attempting to reap what you have just sown is not realistic. There needs to be a period of growth before the fruit can come to harvest. Alternatively, when you really need time to turn inward and rest, attempting to plant and grow a new aspect of your life is not fruitful. Moonstone is calling you to explore which part of the cycle your are currently in, and take the appropriate action.

The Moon and Sun are both complimenting one another in airy elements. This bodes well for a wonderful witty, charming day.

It’s an 11/2 day so there is a public/private feel with contracts or agreements on the agenda. It’s a good day to socialise and network with people who can move you toward a different location.

Strength represents the taming of the beast – overcoming disappointment – and or fear with the courage of your convictions. Hold true to your values without wavering.

The Hanged Man appears again today. I wish he would just go away! I am done with waiting. I’ve been patient long enough and now I am sick of waiting. Hey, did you read about weight-ing in Jar of Jems in this month’s Ezine (at: http://www.jestacom.biz/newsite/ezine/jar_of_jems.htm _? Jems gives her perspective on waiting and how it equates into weight-ing - an interesting read.

The Hierophant carries the scar of emotional and physical trauma. He has been wounded by the arrows of the aggressors. He carries the beast of burden in his heart – why must I endure the angst of rejection and torment?

Moonstone is nurturing and supportive on our journey throughout the cycles of life. This crystal is gentle and reflects soft hues of purest white to delicate silvery blues. It is a feminie stone which brings equilibrium to our emotions. Offering support through the stormy seas of unrest. It calms the tidal waves of regret.

I also engage with my Moonstone pendant in the eclipse season. I have a ritual which I will share with you prior to the next eclipse so watch this space and have a magical day!

Love, Peace and Magic,

Julia Ashton-Sayers

Male Power – Pyrite

I plant seeds of light on the Earth.

When Pyrite appears in your cards you are being asked to seek out and employ the male aspect of your self to resolve the current situation. The male aspect is the solar energy that resides within you, encouraging you to take action that is not indicated by your higher guidance. Pyrite speaks of movement, and a time of making yourself into the Light of the Sun.

The ability to plant new seeds and to act upon your intuition is nurtured by Pyrite. This Ally is calling you to begin to apply on the Earth plane what you have learned by going within. It is time to manifest the creations that you have conceived, by taking and expressing your inner truth.

It is the first day of winter in Oz. The dark wet mornings are a sign that winter is here. It’s a 10/1 day so the numerological vibe suggests endings and beginnings. What do you need to bring to an end some that something new may begin?

The Moon has moves into the 11th house today. She is in her Aquarian robes. Humanity, friendship and networks are all important. This Uranian influence is rife for brilliant concepts out of the blue.

Our morning reading has a different rattle and hum to it. The Emperor is forceful and determined in his rule. He has lots to say as he sits upon Mount Olympus determined to preside over his Kingdom. His message is clear – don’t be anyone’s fool. Be the best you can be and don’t fret over the lost opportunities – they didn’t mean much anyway.

Prometheus on the other hand is submissive in his repose. He chooses to be the martyr – but then so do we – at times? He reminds us not to allow the desires that feed our dreams slip away into the Neptunian haze. He wants to give up his dream – do you?

Venus entices us into the garland of plenty. She is naked and proud and commanding in her vulnerability. A cycle has come to an end – yes it is the end of autumn and now winter has crept in; the stealth of Jack Frost mysterious and biting. Life feels cold and encourages retreat and contemplation. Consider our next phase – allow yourself time to rest and dream.

Pyrite is bold and beautiful. It is uncompromising in its message. Today is the first day of a new cycle – what seeds to you want to plant with positive intention? My statement begins with good health.

Love, Peace and Dreams,
