Say thank you. Experience the joy of acknowledging others.
Zeus has sent the spites to earth in a chest. Pandora opens the lid and the spites sly out causing havoc in the world. Above the spites an Angel glides and smiles – she says, “where there is life there is hope”. Be gracious and you will overcome your daily fears and troubles.
The Wheel of Fortune and the Sun team up to bring the bounty of a new harvest. Normally, in a reading these two cards appear and it is a sign that there is a new babe on the way. For me right now that is impossible although I did dream about adopting a little girl the other night. Perhaps it is a new project instead?
It is a number four day – time to get up early and go to work. The party is over and we must forge ahead on project, tasks and jobs. I am organised and productive. The work you do today is lasting. I build foundations for tomorrow. I am healthy in body, mind and spirit.
There is a lovely link between Venus and Chiron today. It is a healing connection that the cosmos offers to heal parts of ourselves that have been damaged. Plus it is a nice transition to the Venus and Neptune alignment this week. Love and healing are top of the celestial agenda.
This is alos the find week of the Ox (Chinese astrology). We are heading toward a busy year of the Tiger. So, it is a good idea to get our house in order. What I mean by “house” is you – the temple for your soul.
This is a nurturing phase to offer love and respect to you once acknowledged then off it to others in the form of love and kindness.
Start with gratitude and add the building blocks from the cosmos to the supporting structure. Rebuild and anchor the structure with unconditional love and compassion.
For those who are preparing for St. Valentines this weekend here is a poem for you:
Ecstasy on High
Out of the swirling mass of energy that vibrates throughout the universe they happened upon one another. They knew that the sensation that pulsated throughout their very being was real. A sensation like no other; a herald, an announcement of what was to come; he touched her face and gazed lovingly into her eyes and at that moment she knew deep within her soul that she was going to be satisfied beyond the realms of her heart’s desire. As she maneuvered herself atop of him and felt his energy and love burst inside her body she knew deep within her soul that they were now connected for all eternity and that she was home.

Playfulness
Play with a child. Children are great teachers.
The Moon is in her most philosophical phase. Sagittarius rules the ninth house of long distance travel, higher learning and study. This is a light relief from the intensity of the Scorponic phase – dig deep at your peril – you never know what you might find?
It’s a number three day – party time – laugh and have fun day. Get on the carousel and enjoy the ride! Today is truly a perfect opportunity to express the joy of living. Look beautiful. Feel handsome. Express the joy that is in you and radiate it all around you. The colour is yellow and the jewel is topaz.
The energy of the day sure sounds like fun. The numerological vibe is encouraging us to socialise. Sadge loves to party too. Sagittarians quite often see the quirky side to life. They can trumpet up a party when the mood takes them. They are goo t have around as they don’t tend to take life too seriously – well not all the time anyway.
Last week during the contract exchange debacle I practised the art of detachment. The tension become so excruciating in the power and control vice that I tossed all of the issues (which were out of my control) into a pink balloon and tied a long string to it – floated it up to the sky and cut the string. I allowed the outcome to be determined by the parties involved and released the resolution to the Universe. It was a therapeutic act and one which I enable from t time to time when the need arises.
This act is part of my toolbox of life skills. I’ve popped it in there because as a Scorpio I can get pretty darn intense over matters which invade my logical mind and then seep into my emotional quarry. Of course the worry does not change the outcome and yet I constant seek a strategy to rectify the situation. However if the solution does not work I invest the next step, detachment.
The Chariot pulls me in two directions and yet I am mindful of the burn of the reigns in my hands. The signposts reveal a multitude of destinations unknown – where to from here? I don’t really know!
The Fool offers a new direction – take you kit bag and travel light. Don’t delay – it’s a new day – seek new territories to explore – don’t forget to close the door.
The Lovers won’t travel alone – they are locked in their embrace their heartbeat is synched in perfect harmony.
Enjoy the vibe of this glorious Sun-Day and share your smile with the world.
Peace, Love and Happiness,

Sumptuous Serena
Provocatively she pouted as she sat poised upon the golden sand. She gazed, amazed at how little effort was required to sparkle and dazzle the passersby. She was not like all the rest, shy and coy. She was here to make her entrance, to take on the world, or at least her corner of the world, on her terms.
Her name was Serena and she knew how to ensnare them. She acted coy and shy, however she enticed them with her wily ways, after all she was a mermaid. Fickle as a pickle she would play all day without a care, “not today” she would say “go away, go away” until the day HE came along, swimming by. It was then her eyes began to twinkle and her fins began to tinkle. She squirmed and tried to pout provocatively hoping he would notice her poise, her eyes and her soul. Now her days of flirtation were but a memory when he smiled at her that way that day.

Connection
Connection with someone special - a loved one is a gift to treasure.
11/2 is a Master Day – a day to follow your inner star. Be the light of the world for the world. You can be greatly inspiring today or you can inspire others. Follow the direction of the pipeline of wisdom from the highest source. Today I sparkle and shine in a quiet and peaceful way.
The Moon pulses in passionate Scorpio and therefore an intense day to follow your inner star. The Sun is still in Aquarius and therefore connection with someone special is important.
Humans are tactile beings. We thrive on connections albeit social interactions or intimate relations. Sure there are times when we like the solitary interludes however overall we are social creatures who love to meet, greet and gather in enclaves to celebrate the joy of living.
The High Priestess knows the power of solitude and the pain of rejection. Persephone was summoned to appear before the Devil to confront her fears, embrace her dark side and learn her lessons. She shares these experiences with us in her quiet repose and wise tutelage. I am a student. I am a devotee. I want to learn from her – and gather the lessons and integrate them into my life. If you live your life in the comfort zone how will you know what you are capable of?
The Fool rushes in where Angels fear to tread. Don’t waste a moment – savour the seconds and the hours will be sublime.
The Hermit is always cautious – don’t tread the path of uncertainty for you shall fall and skin your knee. Anyone got a bandaid?
It’s a Saturn-Day a day to connect or reconnect. I love to reconnect with my home, garden and plants. I am reconnecting with friends from Coffs Harbour who are flying down to see the Exhibition at the National Gallery http://nga.gov.au/Home/Default.cfm to see the Masterpieces from Paris. We will catch up for afternoon tea and then go to the Multi-cultural festival. A nice agenda, don’t you think?
The Sun appeared in all his glory this morning. The rain was refreshing and rejuvenating for the garden and our spirit. Now the Sun offers the golden panacea to brighten the canvas of the day.
Step out of your rut and inspire others with your wisdom, beauty and the essence of you. The world is a better place because you are in it!
Peace, Love and Happiness,
Julia Ashton-Sayers
Return of the Beloved
As he meditated in the cold surroundings he could sense her presence. He knew she was close and had come to him from so far. He strode to the edge of the rocky shelf, took a life enhancing breath and gazed up in to the heavens. She appeared! Bright and surrounded by the white light that enveloped her, protected her and brought her to him. They knew each other immediately, their minds connected and their bodies tingled. He looked at her and ached. He would have stepped off right then and there but alas there was still work to be done. He could not leave just now, he gazed at her on high and promised that they would never part again “our energies will be intertwined for all time” he breathed “you will reside within me” said he.

Love
Choose love. Let your love be a powerful force for change.
Love is a sweet thing. Love of self, love of others – it is the best remedy for what ails our hearts, minds and soul.
It’s time to begin again; the first day of a new cycle. Be the leader today. Trust yourself and your intuition. Be original and creative. Be ambitious. Feel your own power. Be courageous. Anger, stubbornness, impatience or worry may tend to undermine your abilities. Look for the new.
So, what’s new with you? Its’ Friday and the Moon is in Scorpio. Scorpio is intense, pursuit of their goals and dreams. I’m not saying that all Scorpios can be bloody-minded (as I am quite well aware of their reputation in the zodiac). What I am saying is that they can be extremely focused when they want to achieve a goal.
The Devil strolls into my reading today. Keeping in mind that Carl Jung reminds us that the Tarot is the pictures of the subconscious – (a virtual storyboard of our unconscious journey). The Devil offers release from oppression. Oppression can be represented as fear. Sure, it can be the invisible shackles of another person’s control – but most times it is your own fear that something may or may not happen.
Strength represents courage and the force within to conquer your demons. Overcome the battles of torment and you will set yourself free.
Judgement is the release; the organic response of the liberation from your closet torment. Hark the herald angels sing – for you are free.
Rain on my window is a welcomed visitor this morning. Emerging from sleep with the pitter patter of the rain was a mystical greeting. The dry and dusty region has been oppressed by the drought and the rain offers respite.
It is predicted that we will receive quite a payload of heavenly elixir. I am hoping so! I know that there is the multicultural festival this weekend and the rain could interfere with the activities. I’m sure that the heavenly ambrosia will not destroy the enthusiasm though – so come along and celebrate the diversity of our nation.
Love, Peace and Happiness,
Julia Ashton-Sayers
Journey into the Abyss
She lingered at the edge of sleep knowing that the journey was before her. As dream became her reality she ventured forth to the shore of abyss. What lay before her, she pondered?
Contemplating her voyage she drew the deepest and wondrous breath. Sigh. It is time! Time to go back to the water, time to loll and frolic with the others; time to sing her song in laughter, to celebrate her very existence, she sat upright in readiness; she knew that it was time to go.
Becoming more and more immersed her body tingled with anticipation. She sensed the changes within and felt the changes outside her body. Her thighs trembled with anticipation of the coming. Her back arched and in a moment of sublime pain her life and world changed.
She gazed back over her shoulder, a glimpse of what was. Now as she floated in the soothing and nourishing waters of her kingdom she felt awareness, an inner knowing that she had come home. Daybreak she frolicked with the others and lolled wistfully on the golden sands. This is her time! She felt the sun permeate her skin as a sensuality rushed over her. Now, she could never go back, back from the land of dreams.

Clearing
Clear the clutter. When in doubt, throw it out!
This week has been challenging with lots of difficult and frustrating moments. I think all us have been affected in some way or another?
Decisions made have impacted on people’s lives and that obviously trickles down to all of us – I guess that most important consideration is what have you learned about you?
The Moon in Libra requires balance. Libra loves peace and harmony and is rather astute in their pursuit of goals.
I’ve learned a great deal from my Libran friends – qualities such as: resourcefulness, negotiation skills, discernment and loyalty. These are refreshing in this cut throat world we live in.
Librans love beautiful environments – they seem to gravitate toward serenity rather than choppy waters of uncertainty. When the Moon is in Libra these are some of the qualities we can all consider.
It’s a number nine day of resolution and conclusion. We’ve been through another numerology cycle (starting at one). It’s a good time to reflect and reject – what do you want to take with you into another nine days?
Clearing at this stage of the cycle can be cathartic. Not only that, what remains must be important to your progress.
A number nine day has an artistic feel – so be an artist use your creative talents. A great day for public performances. What you give out will come to you, so give your best – close the chapter tomorrow, you start new then.
Death arrives – yeah, so what? I am not afraid or perturbed – I feel at ease with the end. My solicitor rang last night it seems that everyone has agreed on the commission portions and we can proceed to exchange. So here’s hoping?
The World seduces me into the garland of plenty. Life is bountiful if you count your blessings.
The Chariot is a moving locomotive – taking me toward a new destination. Hop on board – the train is leaving the station.
I’ve spoken with so many people this week who have been in a crunch from the Pluto and Saturn battle star galactica. The fall out has affected many couples and or relationships and this has made people feel uneasy.
In most cases people have gone with the flow and rhythm of life – it’s a powerful beat – the rest are devastated by the fall out. I hope you are flowing nicely and not too discouraged by the lessons learned.
Peace, Love and Happiness,
Julia Ashton-Sayers
ON DAYS LIKE THESE
On days like these I like to wait
to open my eyes and hesitate
to laugh, to smile to lay in bed
to float and roam around my home
I dare not answer the telephone.
On days like these I like to search
and stare in wonder outside on perch
to sing, to cry to fly on high
a squirrel, a bird, a plane
a sign, I wish to remain.
Within my cosy bed I lie
to create in my head
how I love to be alone
On days like these I feel so prone
to linger a while without a care
to rise before noon I do not dare.
On days like these I contemplate
I ponder and wonder where my fate is
eclipsed within and like a flash
I sigh, I grin and with a dash
I flee with glee upon my knees
above, below and all around
on high in trees down down on the ground
my thoughts alive I blink in wonder just how
magnificent it would be
to enjoy and revel in the blessing of
moments in my life on days like these!

Self love
Care for your body. Self love and self acceptance are the ultimate acts of self care.
A number eight day portends success in business. Ambition stirs within us. It’s time for advancement. Look and act successful. Be an executive. Use good judgement. Do all your financial and legal work. Best day for signing leases or contracts. Success is already yours now!
Mercury is moving over the karmic north node – this alignment encourages us to think things through differently. Relationships are the key in this transit.
The Moon is in the seventh house of relationships and interaction with significant others. The Sun is in Aquarius – the eleventh house of friends and associations. You can see how this melting pot of karmic conversations can brew up nicely into a soul elixir.
Intuitively I knew that Death would be the first card out this morning. I guess even silently commanded its appearance in my morning spread. Bring on the Death card – put an end to this skulduggery.
The World is my oyster and its turning churning – pearls of wisdom appear as magical offerings from the esoteric shadows.
The Hermit is ever-present – watching, guiding – gently nudging me along the path, “watch your step, dear – keep on track and don’t deviate – you will be rewarded for your resilience and adaptability.
We are still navigating the muddy waters of negotiation between the two agents. Fortunately I am not longer connected emotionally. The vibe and excitement has been flushed from my body by the greed and unethical acts. Intuitively, I feel that the matter will proceed but the joy has diminished. Perhaps when the settlement takes place the rush of excitement will begin to surge until then disgust and disdain are my constant companions. For now all I can manage is a big sigh and an animated eye roll.
We’ve had rain in the territory last night. The garden has a tiny coating of dew and the paths are a grey tied dyed colour. I am grateful for the heavenly offering and hope that it is sufficient to keep the dam buoyant for our drinking water.
The Moon in Libra suggests legal matters. Maybe we can see this conveyance move to the next level. My brother asked me last night I’ve run the first agent and I said no, there is nothing I can say that will make me feel better – I’d rather practice self care and self acceptance.
Peace Love and Happiness,
Julia Ashton-Sayers
RAVEN’S SONG
This morning I saw a Raven on high.
As he flew by with a wink in his eye
He could see the lie
Deep within my soul
Hidden from the world
A moving story about a girl.
A girl with a memory
How she wishes that she could flee
Far above the trees
And soar with the Ravens
Almost touching the heavens.
To sit proudly
And bellow loudly a survivor’s tale
From a childhood lost
It has already cost, far too much.
This morning I heard a Raven’s song
And deep within my heart I did long
To set my spirit free
With all my heart and soul in it.
Above the clouds and life’s oppression
Without a care and little apprehension
To soar above all adversity
With the Raven on wing
And you and me
For the entire world to see!

(C) 1999
Action
The journey to find your lost self begins with one step.
I’m fascinated by rhythm; rhythm of the day, the seasons and emotional rhythm. I cannot imagine my life without tapping into that rattle and hum and I can’t imagine what it would be like if I did not record my thoughts and feelings in my journal each day.
The constant flow of life intoxicates me with this beat – the narratives coiled within provide the sheet music and people are the actors. People everywhere – toddlers heading off on new adventures, people avoiding eye contact – stare – not stare – people scanning newspapers other encroaching on passers by with their penetrating voyeurism. People pushing boundaries and stepping into aura and personal space – push a little close and cop a free feel if they time it right.
The stage is crowded - the hum-drum is fever pitched exploded by the shrill of tantrums or lulled by the bliss of lovers whispering their secret dialogue inter-dispersed with eyelashes fluttering timely winks.
Even though we plan and plot – read and navigate our path – even though we integrate the learning from astrology and numerology – we seem to blithely traverse the unchartered corridors of the maze of life.
The impossible becomes possible – the ordinary seeps into the background of a life unlived.
Some people carry the weight of the world on their shoulders.
Some are so animated they light up the night sky with their smile and electrified aura – they whisk you away to imaginary lands on the winkle of their eye – they are fetching – enticing – summoning you to the wonderment of their breath.
It’s a number seven day; the journey within – it is a day that always reveals something – so be aware and not alarmed. Look within and receive the answers. Where will the next step take you? Where does your path lead? Is this your destination or another bus stop beckons on the highway to freedom?
My morning reading explores certain truths; Temperance the detached, philosophical approach. The Moon aligns with the desire to create and perform on the stage of life. And the Chariot stalled at the cross-roads – contemplating the next move.
My conveyance is stalled – the exchange of contacts has been put on hold while the real estate agents (two of them) lobbying for the share the commission. The current agent is being magnanimous however it is the one that we stepped away from wants his share for doing nought. Meanwhile the customer, my husband and me are left carrying the debt and our poor purchaser wants to move in urgently. We are disappointed that the first agent feels entitled to a share of the commission and continues to do everything in his power to hold up the sale.
Last night my husband and I agreed that we are prepared to pull out of the deal and put the property back on the rental market and try again later this year. We will vet all potential purchasers to make sure that they haven not had a conversation with any other agent.
I find this situation ghastly and yet fascinating in some macabre way. I moved to Coffs Harbour some yeas ago to seek solace and find Nirvana and now my exodus has been excruciating. As I release the outcome the scars begin to heal.
Love, Peace and Happiness,
Julia Ashton-Sayers
SIREN’S SONG
Bombarding birds swept, screeched and thrust themselves at the ship below. The seas tumultuous, no where to go. Captain tied to the mast, wax stuffed in their ears avoiding the imminent death of the Siren’s song.
Waves crashed the deck
Birds of prey flew into peck
at their bodies, their eyes, wanting them
to die, die, die!
Rowing blind past the rocks
holding on tight chained in their stocks
they worked so hard to avoid the inevitable
destruction, death and damnation.
The Death song surrounded them that day
Their strength, the courage that they displayed
Was true to their souls
for they would not grow old
as they passed into the bosom of the sea
remembered by you and by me
a victim, a hero of the chilling Siren’s Song.
