Love yourself, love your neighbour, love your enemies, but begin with self-love. You cannot love others until you love yourself. You can not share what you do not have. If you do not love yourself, you cannot love anyone else either.
Love is all there is!
I’ve been watching the Beatles Anthology over the past couple of weeks and have been reminded, once again, of their brilliance and more importantly their messages of love.
Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Harrison gave live interviews and John Lennon gave his account of the history of the Beatles through taped TV and radio recorded interviews. John’s contribution was with the support and approval of Yoko Ono Lennon which was very kind and generous of her.
This nostalgic trip was enlightening in some ways as I was only a ten year old girl when they first formed the band. Even then I can still recall singing, “I wanna hold your hand”.
During the series I said to my husband that I’ve loved and admired these individual artists and collectively as a group for over forty years. Now, that is one substantial relationship, don’t you think? The most revealing aspect of this devotion was that they’d had grown up with me, and most importantly made an impact on my life and of course our culture. And they are still doing that today!
My heart and gratitude burns strong for their influence in our lives and if we stop and think about it their messages of love, relationship and peace will remain a constant in our consciousness forever.
The Moon is in Libra today and is a powerful source for love and harmony. Relationships are a priority as the Moon offers negotiation through balance and respect. Libra is in harmony with the impulsive Sun in Aries. While he pulsates an individualistic beat he also reminds us of the importance of self-love. Love yourself first and the shed your love and light into the world.
It’s a number eight day of balance and achievement. See what we can achieve by putting our minds and hearts into the frame of love. I guess we could say that there is a common theme here today – don’t you agree? Perhaps we should just take the hint?
The High Priestess preaches a prophecy of enlightenment through truth. How can we live with a divine purpose when we drown in denial? Lift up your eyes and see the relevance of your lessons – give thanks for these gifts. Lift up your mind and see the liberation in truth and you will be set free.
Empress is harvest the experiences of the season. For everything there is a reason and we are merely a tiny speck of insignificance shinning brightly in the Universe of wonder. Our reason for our existence is embedded in our DNA. Our purpose is something much more brilliant.
The World offers opportunities wrapped in delicious fruit. The fruit hangs low on the vine and is ready for the picking. Our lives do not hold relevance in the opinions of others. Our lives are relevant because we live them.
Go into the world and make your mark. Smile at a stranger. Be honest with yourself. There are millions of self help books and even more gurus who preach the lessons of the human existence. You, My Friend are the only guru that matters. You are the source of all things meaningful and masterful in the world.
Love, Peace and Happiness,
Julia Ashton-Sayers
