Hermit

Light – seeks solitude to focus intently on inner life. Serves personal creativity.

Shadow – withdraws from society out of fear or negativity, judgements of others refusing to help those in need manifestations of intolerance, loathing, or fear of others, or refusal to help those in need.

Look for longstanding need to retreat into yourself to marshal your powers.

I can definitely identify with this archetype. At times I’ve been the Hermit, what about you? I only hope it has been more of the light side to be honest. Although I know that there have been times when the shadow aspect has crept in. I’ll have to keep an eye on that.

It’s a number nine day of resolution and empowerment. This is an excellent day to take control of your current situation and seek a resolution that works for you.

The Moon has moved into the pragmatic Taurean Moon phase. Life should begin to settle down and the hustle and bustle of the merry-go-round should creak to a slower pace. Let’s face it, life has been a little frantic with the Arian influence – now we should be able to take a breath and smell the roses.

The Sun is the golden orb shinning across our morning spread. Apollo the Sun God wishes us all good things that enrich our lives. Things such as: good health, quality food, music, good friends and joyous times. Those ingredients are the true meaning of life, don’t you think?

The Hierophant appears again. He is sturdy and focused. What part of our soul requires the rendering of love and compassion? Chiron is present in the cosmos right now and it is time to heal.

The Tower brings lightning bolts out of the blue. This card represents the unexpected opportunities to prove our self worth. Don’t let others tear you down – stand strong in the face of adversity – fight for what you believe to be true (metaphorically speaking of course).

All archetypes may filter through your life like a passing parade of ghostly images. Some may permeate your reality and you can wear them for eons. The Hermit archetype is healthy social and work life balance.

I am guilty of engaging with the Hermit within even when I am in a crowded room or part of a social activity. The deep recesses of my mind creep in and kidnap my sense of now.

Have to watch that, now won’t I?

Love, Peace and Hiding-out,

Julia Ashton-Sayers
