It seems that the year is racing forward at warp speed, November is where whether we are ready or not! In one more month we have – you know – tis the season… It’s a little daunting when you think about it so let’s see what is in store for the coming four weeks.
We are no in Scorpio Sun phase country. This is a time of rebirth and transformation. Happy birthday Scorpios – especially to all of my soul Sistars and brothers! This is our time to shine. So throw off those shackles and get out there and boogie!
The Sun in Scorpio is an intense month. Well, Scorpios are not renowned for doing anything by halves (and who would want to – oups showing my true colours – that is right I am Scorpio too!). The positive slant on this solar return is that we have the support of the cosmos to work on the changes that are necessary for ourselves especially in the areas of empowerment, power struggles, and financial partnerships. It is a time of self-mastery. Keep in mind that Scorpios are the “psychologists of the zodiac”. Embrace this period of restoration and regeneration especially leading up to the demands of the “silly season” (did I say that – sorry – inside voice!).
The New Moon in Scorpio is 6 November at 2:51pm and it is 14 degrees Scorpio. This intense new moon in Scorpio helps you confront hidden aspects of your psyche. Depth takes on new meaning as you get a chance to see the world through the mysterious Scorpio eyes. Things aren’t quite what they seem and you won’t hesitate to find out more. Mercury links to Jupiter and Uranus helping you opens your mind and considers new possibilities. The only limit to where life takes you now is your imagination (great stuff – bring it on!). Boundaries that once seemed so impenetrable are easily overcome. Venus retrograde suggests relationships review old themes.
This New Moon is fertile for planting seeds in:
• Transformation
• Eliminating old “baggage”
• Forgiveness
• Politics
• Charisma
• Secrets
• Taking risks to gain power
• Compulsions
• Obsessions
• Intense interactions
• Strength
• Discipline
• Commitment
• Depth of Character
• Soul mates
• Deep emotional connections
• Mutual validation
See I told you it was an intense time. Think about what you want for yourself as you plant these seeds. Commitment to the new wishes with positive intent and love and finally, make sure that your intention does not harm anyone.
The 22nd November at 3:27am there is a Full Moon 30 degrees Taurus. Taurus is the opposite Scorpio. This sensual Full Moon brings balance back into what has been an intense period. Reconnect with your physical body and its needs. Delight in delicious fresh food and pamper yourself with spa, beauty or body treatments. Venus has ended her recent retrograde, and inspired by link from soulful Neptune, helps you find a new love and faith to guide you forward. The Sun aligns with Uranus and Jupiter helping you manifests a more authentic, optimistic outlook. Restlessness is high as the anticipation of new experiences help you move beyond known limits.
Other significant planetary movements are:
• Mercury in Sagittarius November 8 – December 1
• Venus retrograde into Libra November 2, direct on November 18
• Jupiter direct in Pisces November 17
November is a Master number month which gives an extra boost to the extra-sensory perception skills of the carrier. A heightened state of awareness is usually noticeable during the 11 vibration, and using this awareness can give you a substantial advantage over others in a purchase, job application or point of order.
Our Goddess for November is Psyche. She is the Greco-Roman Goddess who personifies the human soul. Granted immortality by Zeus, she is represented on ancient Greek vases as a bird with a human head. Later portraits cast her as a butterfly. In either case, she reflects the archetypal notion that the sou, the life force, is by nature ethereal or airy, capable of flying from the body at the time of physical death. Today we continue to use the word psyche to denote our noncorporeal selves.
Ever youthful and lovely, the goddess Psyche reminds us that the human soul is a thing of fragile beauty, requiring just as much nurture as the human body.
The five of swords is our next card in the tarot journey. The Five of Swords augurs the necessity of facing one’s own limits and recognising that life needs to be lived within the confines of one’s capabilities. Often there is a situation where the individual has taken on too much, and must swallow pride and back off; facing honestly what is possible before moving forward.
Our animal totem for November is Crow. There is a medicine story that tells of Crow’s fascination with her own shadow. She kept looking at it, scratching me, pecking at it, until her shadow woke up and became alive. Then Crow’s shadow ate her. Crow is Dead Crow now.
Crow is an omen of change. Crow lives in the void and has no sense of time. The Ancient Chiefs tell us that Crow sees simultaneously the three fates – past, present and future. Crow merges light and darkness, seeing both inner and outer reality.
Pause and reflect on how you see the laws of the Great Spirit in relation to the laws of humanity. Crow medicine signifies a first hand knowledge of a higher order of right and wrong that that indicated by the laws created by human culture. With Crow medicine, you speak in a powerful voice when addressing issues that for you seem out of harmony, out of balance, out of wack, or unjust.
Crow looks at the world with first one eye, and then the other-cross-eyed. In Mayan culture, cross-eyes had the priviledge and duty of looking into the future. You must put aside your fear of being a voice in the wilderness and “caw” the shots as you see them.
As you learn to allow your personal integrity to be your guide, your sense of feeling align with vanish. Your personal will can then emerge so that you ill stand in your truth. The prime path of true Crow people says to be mindful of your opinions and actions. Be willing to walk your talk, speak your truth, and know your life’s mission, and balance past, present, and future in the now. Shape shifts that old reality and become your future self. Allow the bending of physical laws to aid in creating the shape shifted world of peace.
Our crystal for the Scorpio month is Apache Tear. Scorpio’s challenge is to master power in all its manifestations. Black Obsidian is helpful in this, but only if we are prepared for the depth of psychological insight it brings, and for the darkness it releases before transformation occurs. You may find the gentler Apache tear (translucent form of Obsidian) more conducive to controlling power surges.
I have a gorgeous Apache Tear bracelet. It is very grounding but I find that when I wear it I am more subjective instead of objective in my perspective. This crystal takes me back to a place of power in that I don’t have to react to everything right then and there I absorb the intolerance or judgementalism and lead with my intellect instead of my emotions.
November is set to be a power-packed month. My philosophy is always, “forewarned is forearmed”. If I can add a little shopping advice here, Mercury goes retrograde from December 10 to December 29 so perhaps you can utilise the intensity of the Scorpio Sun phase to plan and shop before the Christmas rush.
Take care of you and be kind to yourself!
Love, Peace and Harmony,
Harles
