Day 41 – II days to go – Leo Gold

“Love is all we have; the only way that each can help each other.” Euripides

The Moon moves into the creative, bold and golden sign of Leo today. Leo loves to perform and dance. Mars and Saturn offer a compatible embrace which is a nice start to the working week – don’t you think?

The detox is down to the final two days and I’ve been reflecting on the changes and benefits. I seem to be quite aware of the improvement to my skin, hair and colour of my eyes – but what else?

Death is the first card of the morning spread heralding the final chapter of my current phase. I would assume that this card is the acknowledgment of the end of the detox. Is it an ending? Or is it the beginning?

The number six day suggests a new order is on offer and a commitment to a healthier lifestyle. One thing I’ve learned about myself during these 41 days of the program is that I am not perfect and that I love food. I feel that my DNA is closely linked to a lineage of hedonists. I am a self-confessed food lover. Of course it is not to say that the quality and richness of food is not important. Taste is everything – well at least it is a close second to nutritious.

The next card is Justice – contracts, agreements and negotiation is on the agenda for the day. Well, I am starting in a new section this morning and this event has re-motivated my working life. I heading off in a new direction for a while and this should be a positive influence for my self-esteem. I’ve packed my boxes and now a new horizon beckons – hauntingly beautiful and highly seductive. Keep your fingers crossed.

The final card is the Chariot. This fast moving card pulls me in two directions however I am in control of the reins. I will keep you posted on that one.

Ciao for now – and have a great day!

Good luck is with me – good luck happens when an opportunity presents itself and I meet it with preparedness.

40 Days – up against it!

It’s the third day of my detox and I feel awful. The toxins are swirling around in my body scurrying to find an appropriate exit. I feel nauseated, blocked, grumpy and even teary. On the other hand I am enjoying the food I’m eating and the water and herbal teas I am drinking. I feel that with every conscious breath I am taking I am one step closer to my divine self.

It’s strange how the detox is taking over my life. The word detox and all of its repercussions and outcomes permeates my conversations. I’ve even noticed how my work colleagues are talking about detoxification – it’s downright contagious.

Honestly, between you and me I don’t think that the change in dietary regime or the commitment to a detox has formed a habit in my daily routine. However, I feel the pull of conscious living as an aphrodisiac to my future dedication. I have a feeling that during these six weeks it will not only be toxins that will be eliminated from my body there will be many other blockages tossed aside.

Even though I anguish over the loss of the smell of my morning brew all things considered I’m peaking over the crest of the first hurdle in this 42 day climb.

Peace and Love,

42 Days – a new beginning

It is the first day of Spring and to mark this season I’ve decided to rejuvenate my body with a three phased detox program. So, today is the first day of a 42 day commitment to detox my internal organs. This program has been designed by my herbalist, MoonHawk http://www.jestacom.biz/newsite/ezine/natural_living.htm and under her guidance I will tackle this six week program in a three-phased approach:

Stage: 1 – Remove unfriendly bacteria, yeasts, parasites that may be living in my digestive system (yuck).

Stage: 2 – Renew and repair my digestive lining and replace bad bacteria with beneficial ones called, “probiotics”.

Stage: 3 – Release – support and enhance the capacity of the liver to take wastes from the bloodstream, break them down and them remove them via the elimination system.

This commitment marks another healing journey for my transformation of health and wellbeing. The first phase to loose weight was undertaken 18 months ago. I’ve achieved that goal and feel fantastic for the drop in numerous dress sizes and numbers on the scales.

As an official start to the detox program I’ve got on the scales this morning. Alarmingly I’ve crept on a couple of kilos over the past few weeks. This is no surprise of course as I’ve had gormandised myself on the premise that, “I’m starting my detox so I will feast now and purge later!” Not real smart is it?

Of course there was a holiday last week and who can diet on holidays? Not me, obviously! Today is a reality check and I am going to own the numbers. The plan is to become healthier and drop a few kilos on the way – I will share these experiences with you in my journal.

Peace and Love,

The Golden Temple

The High Priestess reminds me of the recent footprints of my journey.  They have been laden with despair and rejection.  The treacherous comments of others and venomous barbs have perpetrated the delicate layer of my soul.

While recovering from the taunts of others I have arrived at a summit of peace and kindness. This hiatus in my odyssey has layered Teflon coating now allowing the sludge to stick to this gossamer veneer.  The beauty I hold in my heart is mirrored in my thoughts and words rejecting the tendrils of evil from permeating my soul.

The Hierophant, wise and deliberate in his stare counsels me and offers the allure of a golden interval.  This pristine breathing space allows time to heal.  Deep within his temple of protection I am able to find the tormented parts of me and cure the crevices of agony which have been slashed by the vileness of the “dark ones”.

This morning I woke feeling renewed.  It wasn’t just a satisfied feeling of a rich rejuvenating slumber.  Instead I felt that I had returned from a journey to a healing portal – a place where Angels and sagacious beings joined forces and beamed blessings of love into my being.

I stretched and smiled, “chanted get out of bed, sleepy head” to begin my morning rituals.  Lingering words of erudite visitors whispered spasms of encouragement. During this period of I dripped essential oils into burners placed around my home, lighting them with plausible optimism to bring a cleansing and infuse the home with a recipe for well being.

After picking up my journal the conversation began with an overview of yesterday’s adventure and an acknowledgement that I need to honour me and my promise to myself for good health and happiness.  The atmosphere of my home is swaddling me in a garden of ambrosia; nectar selected carefully to ensure love, peace and harmony.

The gentle sounds of rhythms lull me into a sacred cavern.  My soul is connected to the Divine and my heart pumps out tantric messages of peace.  Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “It isn’t enough to talk about peace; one must believe in it.  And it isn’t enough to believe in it; one must work at it!”

So, my personal mission for today is to being into my corner of the Universe.  I will go out and spread this seed to the world through positive thoughts and demonstrate peace with my actions.  What will you do?

Peace and Love,

Julia Ashton-Sayers

Seven dolphins

The aroma of fresh percolated coffee beckons me out of a strange dream. I was performing a ballet dance in a small studio. Standing at the practice bar was in a square formation and beneath the square was a huge ocean marine pool.

Swimming around the pool were large fish, sting ray and two sharks. I became fascinated with he sharks, not frightened as I've inclined to be all of my life. I wanted to see them closer, swim with them and even play with them but the ballet teacher insisted we leave the studio and walk the nearby sand hills stressing that it will be good for our legs.

As we tramped over sand I became despondent, I wanted to get closer to the sharks – I kept think what are they doing – why must I leave? After a while I realized how fresh the air was beyond the dunes. The sun was kissing the ocean with a lover's embrace I looked up and saw seven dolphins rise up in the waves twirling their bodies around to a silent symphony orchestrated by Poseidon. I squatted on the sand hills and erupted into raucous laughter acknowledging that I had to move away from the sharks to revel in the dolphin dance of joy.

Good dream wasn't it?

Now I sit in awe of the minutest details of my hand and even breach out into my surroundings. My nails and the shape captivate my imagination. It's like I am on some magical mystery tour intoxicated by the power of the dream. Each letter or stroke I write screams a spellbinding significance. Each sentence takes me further away from my former life.

Maybe that is the hidden message of the dream? I had to move away from the ballet school to rediscover my dance of joy? The creative and inspirational aspects of me have been doing the exercises and the ballet bar which surrounds the shark pool below?

Here I am liberated from work and the ritual of daily routines all of a sudden my imagination and inventiveness flow – fuelled by the presence of the dolphins.

It is Tuesday and the moon is linked in harmony with my natal Gemini moon. It's the first day of my lunar return and I consider what a great gift the dream has become - a royal rite of passage to celebrate the new phase; a perfect synchronous timing to create an awareness of change – cracking open the sphere of fear that lies within my soul.

Yesterday we drove around the area discovering new places and visiting some nostalgic childhood neighborhoods. After that sojourn back in time we ventured in the shopping complex for more food, supplies and a little retail foraging. Lunch was developed at home followed by an afternoon nap – a vibrant and revitalizing walk before dinner and some movie tie – holidays are fantastic aren't they?

May Day 2009

May Day 2009 begins with a tiny squall off the coast. Clouds roll in pushing, nudging and jockeying ready to drop their vapor on to the unsuspecting environment. The air is heavy with moisture and the black beast in the driveway has been prancing with the atmospheric dunking. Coming from a drought affected region to these regular coastal showers have been a bonus and great cleansing to boot.

We'd planned to take the Ferry across the Bay to the Tea Gardens this morning. This trip was planned to catch a glimpse of dolphins scooting through the wake. I'm not sure if this is going to remain on the day's agenda. If it does it will be wonderful if not then we'll catch them next trip.

Yesterday was sprinkled with domesticity and retail therapy. The evening meal was held at my niece's place in a tiny Novacastrian suburb. She's newly married to him best friend and their wedded bliss echoes harmoniously throughout their home. Love, respect and joy drip from the cornices and the good cooked by her tiny delicate hands was laced with love. The conversation flowed like the ambrosia of the evening and we all kissed and hugged and promised to keep in touch.

The Leo Moon greets us today. She is in her regal phase. Leo is the fifth house of creativity and romance. A perfect time to connect with our inner muse – don't you think?

It's the first day of May – a new month – a month of changes (visit:
www.jestacom.biz – Harlequin's Haven for a more in depth discussion of the numerology of the month). Today however is imbued with the energy of a number eight day. The two circles of the eight, constantly seek balance and harmony encouraging a state of perpetual motion.

The Sun is bracing firm against the castles of clouds – pushing his golden streams over the turrets stretched out in the sky. It is like the golden orb is forcing a path of redemption – stomping his authority on the final day of our holiday – seducing us out into the Bay for one more display of Nature's pantomime.

It has been a wonderful retreat this week. All of my basic needs have been met with perfect precision. Dreams have rescinded into a healing shroud and catapulted into futuristic prophecies. I've had the opportunity to recover my balance, rejuvenated my spirit and once again rediscover who I am. My priorities have been realigned. And yesterday as I gazed into my reflection in the mirror my thoughts flashed through a myriad of synapses. The destination revealed a smug, "Yes I do like you, Julia" – mission accomplished.

Happy May Day,

Peace and Love,

Julia Ashton-Sayers
