Pluto started his retrograde motion yesterday. This means it is time to clear the deadwood from our lives. If you know where Pluto is holding court in your transit it will give you an idea of how this regression will impact on you.
For me, he is at the top of my chart in the ninth house of philosophy, higher learning and long distance travel. Therefore it is time to revisit that part of my life and shake the tree and see what falls out.
Saturn moves back into Virgo today. This is an opportunity for us to demonstrate lessons learned. It is also a time to revisit your Saturnian aspects e.g. commitment, responsibility and here’s that word again, ‘patience’. If there are a loose ends lingering in your life then Chronos will ask you to pick up your knitting needles and knit 1; purl 1 to tidy them up.
Talk about commitment and responsibility – it is a number six day and this energy feeds nicely into the Saturn focus. The time is ripe for digging into your chores or pick up that dreaded ‘to do’ list and begin ticking off your tasks.
I read in the news today that Dawn French’s marriage has broken down. This makes me sad. Dawn is a Libra and Saturn has just left her for a short break but has asked her to revisit some of the lessons of the past. This is a sad and painful phase and will send her lots of love and healing. I’ve been there and this phase seems pretty grim. There is a light and there is love with the support of family and friends. My wish is that Dawn heals and comes back even stronger.
The Moon is in Aquarius and it is a perfect day for friends, associations and social networking. The Sun is in Aries which represents the individual and Aquarius highlights the importance of humanity. So it is a good time to review your position in the global village.
Strength is raw courage and the ability to overcome your fears. This is the perfect card for Dawn as she moves into a new phase.
Hermit is cautious and yet very determined in his stride as he moves along the rocky path of life.
Death is the end. This reality brings tears and fears. It is the end of a phase and the acknowledgement that you can never go back.
The High Priestess is poised and dignified. She knows what it is like to grieve and leave behind the remnants of her soul.
In the darkness of regret and sadness you will be reborn. Shed the layers of irrelevant circumstances and step boldly into the world as an initiate.
Peace, Love and Healing,

Changes – again!
There is a stirring within and I can feel the changes taking place. Easter has bought about certain realizations of where I am and how that sits with whom I am; and most importantly where I want to be.
This is not a unique position for me as I’ve recognized transformation throughout my life and the subtleties of change stirring within. At this stage my intuition is piqued and I feel that there is no going back.
Serenity washes over me and the masks of ambiguity slip from my face. I tend to be a deep pool of intense passion and discernment masked in a face of compliance. I’ve been accused of not having anything of value to contribute – I silently mock their arrogance as it is apparent that they don’t really know me nor have the good manners to keep their mouths shut for ne second. Just one moment or long enough to take a breath – be quiet and allow another person the opportunity to blink and think; to add a word or a phrase so that they may validate their existence. The balance of power is shifting – the volcanic eruptions are stirring – Pele wants to come out and play.
And yet as my eyes scale the mountains and fjords I sink into nothingness and realise just how insignificant I am. I am a tiny speck – a grain of sand in the grandiose scheme of brilliance and un-scalable cliffs of mother earth.
My heart pounds and the earthly healing chants begin – the guttural war songs push the nightmares and fears from my veins and my blood pumps love, peace and harmony – I have discovered contentment in a strange and foreign land.
The tears begin to swell in my eyes and I know I am up for a surge – my heart beats loud and strong combining with the rhythmic throng – drums, painted warriors and unexplored landscapes capture my soul and twirl it into the air.
I take a step and let go – floating to the ground like an autumn leaf to the earth below. Living has just begun – existence and the masks of my fears slip from my grey stare – I am reborn in the cradle of Gaia – swaddled in the love of volcanic eruptions and warmed by the lava filled passion and desire.
It’s a number five day – the Moon is in Aquarius – share your love with humanity and you will discover the deep ravines of your soul.
Pan walks the earth creating forests and summoning up nature. The Chariot pulls me toward a new and brilliant destiny. The Hierophant has healed his tormented soul in the cave of contentment.
So be it!

Nothing is beyond our reach

The life partner that is perfect for me is attracted to me now, as I am to him/her. We come together at the perfect time in the perfect way.
This morning I’ve woken from a deep sleep feeling sublimely joyous. I feel sated, nurtured and love beyond the realms of my imagination. While transiting the corridor between slumber and awake-ness I heard Angels singing in a church which took me to the height of my passions leaving me feeling vibrant and alive. I am blessed and I am profoundly grateful – for what? For everything!
Today the Sun and Neptune escort the mystical side of us into the weekend. WE are free to explore the spiritual side of ourselves and to allow the joyous moment of being human take us to new levels of awareness. Why is this alignment so special and brilliant? It is because we are able to tap into this energy without using any illicit substances. If we are open to the subtleties of Neptune then we are able to absorb this mystical Neptunian influence freely and more importantly without the downside of addiction.
So, why is this dunking of our spirit into the Neptunian well so important? It is because we mere mortals are subject to so many distractions here on earth. We toil away at our job’s diligently achieving our outcomes, focusing our energies on the goals of living a good life and so on. Is this agenda a bad thing? No, definitely not! As a matter of fact this tall order is part of our mission here in Earth School.
However, it is days like this that remind us of the true purpose of our soul evolution and give us the opportunity to explore the internal voice or journey to the rim our of existence. We can tap into the cosmic flow and channel the influences beyond the curtain of reality. Indulge your passions! Enjoy the journey! As William Blake reminds us, “those who restrain Desire, do so because there is weak enough to be restrained.”
The shimmering orb is my first card for today. The Moon is in her secret phase and is secluded ready to receive the wish list of our desires. Temperance seeks the philosophical mantra of peace and love; balance and prudence while striding the mountains toward enlightenment. The World is my oyster – but what if I don’t like oysters? Then the world is my cornucopia of all things delectable – fresh and vibrant!
It’s an 11/2 day which portends as a public/private affair. Sure a great day to undertake the Saturn-day obligations. Conversely, it is a day to socialise. The Sun and Moon are in Libra which is an invitation to seek the pleasurable side of life – what indulgences are on your menu? You are an expression of unconditional love – who is your mirror? How will you honour yourself and others today?
On days like these we are all capable of being; the poet, actor, romantic soul so don’t wallow in the misery of what is not but rather explore the possibilities of what is to be.
Tomorrow is the New Moon in Libra. I have suggested some Libra aspects to consider in Harlequin’s Haven this month. However there are many, many more facets to the Libran ardour. Libra is ruled by Venus the planet of beauty, love a wealth so consider these areas as the nucleolus as you explore around her centre. Take your own magical mystery tour – step right this way. Allow the Neptunian pan pipe wish you away into the beauty and truth of your existence everything else is non existent. Pipe your favourite music into your conscious mind all day and allow yourself to be free from the confines of the to do lists and disempowering language of the ‘woulds’ and ‘coulds’ – instead – just BE!
Remember stand strong in your personal power, with true power that comes from within, nothing is beyond your reach.
Peace and Love,

Chiron expedition

The Moon is in Gemini which encourages communication. It’s a number six day of commitment and responsibility. If you are prepared to put in the labour your hard work will be rewarded and supported with the coupling of Mars and Jupiter. Today could be a great day to do business as the skies are supportive of new business encouraging growth and abundance. It is time to get focused if a contract needs to be signed.
I’m currently reading a book by Barbara Hand Clow entitled: Chiron: Rainbow bridge between inner and outer planets. Chiron is representative of the wounded part of us. He presents as a mythic creature; half man and half beast. With the recent eclipse season I’ve felt the need to explore my inner wound. Chiron identifies our deepest psychological wounds and offers how we may attempt to heal it/them.
Since Chiron’s sighting in 1977 the re-emergence of divination, homeopathic medicine, energy and crystal healing was prominent. This tiny planetoid orbits between Saturn and Uranus and as I mentioned previously is the archetype of healing and transformation. Chiron is an alchemist and healer, initiator, visionary, teacher of integrity and bravery. Behind the myth and legend of this tiny creature we are able to seek and discover our human potential.
We have discussed many planets and their influence upon us. The galaxy is unlimited. During our cosmic conversations over the next few weeks we will look a little closer at Chiron.
My Chiron is in Capricorn. The sea goat pulls himself out of the mire and slowly, diligently and strategically climbs the mountain. Throughout this arduous struggle he searches and learns so much about himself, eventually peeling away the layers that no longer fit. From my experience Capricorn learns his lessons the hard way. There is no tick and flick in his manual. And for many Sun sign Capricorns reading this column you are experiencing Pluto (transformation) on your identity and therefore must endure the public metamorphosis while you grapple with the changes to your world.
The Hierophant is indicative of our discussion. Truth through honest dialogue is the motto delivered by this wise teacher. The wheel of fortune offers a benefice joy and celebration – reward for our efforts. The star shines in all her glory – translucent beauty with a hell of a story. Look deeper into my soul and you will see the realm of integrity. I learn to create spiritual relationships with a glance and an open heart.

Who was that masked creature?

All that we are is the result of what we have though. The mind is everything what we think we become. The number three vibe of today highlights communication, short journeys and intellectual pursuits. The mind has the power to write the script to our future.
The skies may not support each chapter (of course) however happy endings are the dream of every human being. Today we are locked in a step-over-toe-hold with Mars and Saturn keeping up the Universal Wrestling Match in the skies.
This is not a full stop in our story – it is more like a cosmic comma. Now we need to become creative and submit a hook to get us back in the synopsis.
The High Priestess rests patiently for the tide to turn. She has seen it all before – the chaos; the madness and the fall out from the mayhem; be kind to you allowing the hail storm to pass.
The Hermit reminds us to watch our step along the rocky path of our day. Watch the rubble beneath your feet and don’t step in the doggy doo! Apollo dances smiling while playing his golden lyre and a sublime beam of optimism flashes into my soul – there is life after eclipses.
The Fool rushes ahead – the future is inspirational – there is no time to mess about with lugging crates of crap from the past – travel light chappies – there’s always a way out!
Keep your tiller steady as you navigate the rocky outcrops of the fjord. The ship of promises pushes through the tsunami and you are tossed about in your pea-green boat. The tidal waves of emotion are not to be ignored. Don’t be distressed as Sedna will make you welcome in her watery haven.
The winds of change buffet our self-esteem. We are constantly reminded to shed the layers of an old outworn dream. Tossing clothes and other accessories out of my closet strip away at the dreams of yester-year and a heart that casts a thoughts imaginings.
It is time for a new dream – a new horizon. All we need to do is pick up our pen and craft the opening sentence. A paragraph with a hook to capture the imagination of a passer by – “once upon a time there was a…”
Yours truly,
The masked avenger of dreams,

The pash

The Moon portends emotional security wrapped in delicate tissue paper which only allows creativity to seep through and filter out into the Universe.
The Chariot carries my wants and desires while it speeds toward a terminus of change.
The Hermit is dutiful in the cobblestones of my existence – stepping carefully along the rutted road of broken promises and heartfelt declarations.
Prometheus begs for forgiveness on the tree of life – stoic in his pledge to martyr himself that we may inspire the downtrodden.
The World is my oyster – but what if I don’t like oysters? Can I pick the ripe fruit instead? The fruit brandishes boldly on the garland of hope – far more delectable I would think!
Venus steps forth and pashes Pluto slowly defrosting his icy glare. A pash with the greatest lover of the zodiac would melt anyone’s demeanor – surely? I consider the coupling of Venus, Goddess of love and the Dark master and propose that it’s a rare occurrence so join in and celebrate the glistening outfall of their embrace.
The Full Moon today is perfect to conclude any fears, prejudices and tainted beliefs surrounding philosophy and or religion. Love one another that’s all that counts. Skin color, race, gender there is no boundary to love.
Dance in the electric freedom of the lightning bolts of change – master the art of conscious creation and create a world of love, peace and happiness. We all deserve Nirvana not just a chosen few.
Release the bitterness of the past and live creatively from your dreams.
Peace and Love,
Julia Ashton-Sayers

An introduction to Julia's E-Journal June 2009
Hello and welcome,HAD I the heavens’ embroidered cloths,Enwrought with golden and silver light,The blue and the dim and the dark clothsOf night and light and the half light,I would spread the cloths under your feet:But I, being poor, have only my dreams;I have spread my dreams under your feet;Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
W.B. Yeats (1865–1939)"He Wishes For the Cloths of Heaven"from the Collected Works of W.B. Yeats
The published content of my journals is a desire to share a part of my story with the world. It is not an egotistic foray of one woman’s perspective rather an insight into the dialogue with my soul evolution.
Throughout history we have been fascinated with other’s people’s perceptions drinking in their view of the world. Anne Frank comes to mind immediately. Her imagination and recall of the one of the most horrific phases in humanity is legendary. In recent times we’ve been invited into the personal documentaries of modern day poets, singers and artistic performers. I’m not saying that my journals are as riveting or important in historical recording instead I suggest that perhaps one day one person will read these books and the chapters within will resonate with their journey.
I’ve written in a diary or journal as a young girl. I can recall that at 7 years of age I began to scribble down thoughts, words, observations and sometimes childish attempts at poetry. The diary was white and locked with a key. As I’ve grown the lock has been broken and now the entries are available for the entire world to read.
Since I’ve landed in this classroom of life I’ve had a sense that I am here in some capacity as an agent for change. Born under the sign of Scorpio supports the philosophy of transformation and with a strong Gemini Moon/Jupiter (ninth house of publishing) alignment recording these inner revelations has been an integral part of my journey.
I’ve been labeled a trail blazer, spiritual counselor, teacher and healer. While all these titles have brought a certain amount of satisfaction they don’t encompass all that I am – or want to be for that matter.
I am an emotional creator with a lofty adoration for visionary splendor. While writing I can leave my body to take in the view, transcending normality and the restrictions of fear. After the euphoric escapism I (sometimes) enter the darkness of an emotional cauldron battling my demons. It sort of sets up a love/hate relationship with my muse however, out of the darkness brings in the epiphany of my muse. She is fragile, bold, courageous and sometimes sad. She is my trusted confidante and my greatest teacher. These e-journals are some of the dialogues we’ve shared.
These words spoken to my soul spark the passion, sensuality, sensitivity, conflict and express the need for the ongoing desire for love, commitment to my muse. Through metaphor I am consistently inventing a new language of thought. These thoughts support the unraveling of multi-colored yarn preparing for the weaving of a new tapestry.
At times in my life I’ve felt as if I didn’t fit it – like I had landed on another planet without a guide book or interpretative code. Perhaps this feeling comes from the awareness that I have not found my niche – maybe that niche hasn’t been created.
What I do know is that I must nurture my heart and soul as this keeps my creativity alive. I must love what I do and feel what I do with all of my heart. This commitment is inherent in my daily ritual of conversing with my soul.
I need to explore the heights and depths of human evolution. My goal is to get through this life with a good heart and soul. I must ingest the data (experience and emotions) that surrounds me and imbue it into my personal alchemy. The pain and hurt of the injustices are revealed in my journals. This cathartic process reveals the rebounding from the tortured states of awareness, integrating these observations and a human attempt of rationalization.
My journals describe my own changes. I assume that you will be going through similar transformations. As I peel the layers of my soul experience and offer them to you to share I do so with love, respect and humanity. Enter into my internal dialogue if you choose.
Love, Peace, Harmony and Happiness,
Julia Ashton-Sayers
