Put up your dukes

The Moon is the powerful sign of Aries. There is a steely vibrancy to the air today. Mars and Saturn are shaping up for a duel. Anger and arguments can flare up in this cosmic furnace.

If you think about it the skies are alive with fire. The Sun and Moon are both in fire signs e.g. Sun (Leo) and Moon (Aries). Of course to add the spark for this potential blast we have the battle between Mars and Saturn. Well, it seems like a good day to head for cover.

It is an 11/2 day and the energy is pulsating toward a public private feel. The Chariot offers two directions and Justice suggests that negotiation is the key to success. The Sun shines brightly across the landscape defrosting the frozen icicles of despondency. While in the sunrise the wheel of fortune begs us to relinquish control.

Overall it is a perfect day to say, so be it and allow the force of the Universal surge take you where you need to be. Shrug and say, so be it and stay away from the flames – tomorrow is another day!

Precious privileges

“When you arise in the morning think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive, to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love. Marcus Aurelius

This statement from Marcus Aurelius mirrors my thoughts and feelings this morning. Daffodils stand erect and proud in my tiny garden outside my window. They are brilliant, joyous golden reminders of the poise and determination required to break through icy barriers in the pursuit of their blooming destiny.

This year I’ve planted an array of bulbs and indigenous flowers of the retion. They’ve all responded elegantly. Out of the clay and the brutal surrounds of our native dust bowl their beauty and elegance has emerged.

Their message is clear – we blossom in our natural surroundings. We become the brilliant representations of ourselves when we are planted in perfect conditions.

Today I am grateful for the blessings in my life. This privilege to be alive and breath, think and enjoy but most of all to love. What are your plans for today?

Remember: when you express your creativity in the world, honour your needs you serve the needs of society.

The aftermath

The dreamy Piscean moon is the perfect healing ointment for the aftermath of the lunar eclipse. There were intense energies yesterday that unsettled the status quo. Today a more go with the flow energy permeates the air – whew!

It is a number eight day of balance and harmony. The eight promises achievement as well as the constant flow of energy. It will be a lot easier to become grounded in reality with this harmonious eight day.

The Hierophant offers wisdom and prudence in the Neptunian influence of the day. A lovely link between Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune will be perfect medicine after the emotional roller coaster ride this week.

The wheel of fortune gives a fair ground feel where prizes are won and lost and the stage is set for getting real.

Death moves slowly into the consciousness – a period of letting go is an essential ingredient to the process.

The Star portends a period of vulnerability – naked in her splendour poised on the stage of life. She has nothing to hide.

This day reveals a welcome mat to the weekend. An easy flow of energy and doors are flying open. I’m relieved that the week has passed but exhausted by all of the lessons.

I will shower and dress adorning clothes and icons of energetic beams. I will lift these spirits up to the Sun and infuse my aura with brilliance.

This week I’ve learned a lot more about myself and my ability to be frail and forgiving. I’ve cried and sometimes wailed releasing the pain of my misgivings. I’ve grown in my vulnerability – shedding the façade of my composed demeanour. I am grateful for the support and realised the golden few standing in my circle of influence.

I feel battle scared from the challenges and step back and eek at the realisations of my behaviour. I need to forgive myself for being so susceptible to the sway of the cosmic shenanigans.

Question is: are we unstable when we act emotionally? Or are we just accessing the emotional gifts given in our human-ness? I am not really sure at this juncture but my heart feels sore and I need to embalm my pain with the cosmic elixir on offer today. What about you?

Apollo – my Sun

A true knowledge of ourselves is knowledge of our power.”
Mark Rutherford

The darkness of the morn diffuses the enthusiasm to rise and greet the day. Dark dreams lingering questions cloud my consciousness. What does it all mean? Snippets of scenarios roll through my mind – did I really dream the unfettered messages and interludes?

The Star pours the golden liquid from her urn. She is naked and yet comfortable in her vulnerability; poised on a tranquil sea of emotional stability confident and aware of the pulse of her presence.
Venus is abundant in the centre of the garland. Her riches nourish my soul. Protection ripe fruit and the promise of heavenly guidance are on offer – golden locks wrap her thighs – she’s not so bold.
Apollo – my Sun lures me into the golden promise with his euphonious lyre. Mystical sounds tantalise my being while cherubs dance and captivate my imagination.
Pictures of my subconscious reveal a path of joy, hope and reward – the past is a memory and the truth becomes the sword. What are we all doing here if we can’t live authentically? As Carl Jung reminds us, “In the final analysis, we count for something only because of the essential we embody, and if we do not embody that, life is wasted.” Stand up and be counted, reveal your inner most hopes and wishes, don’t be ignored.
Our journey is a solitary mission of lessons, challenges and death defying tours – is it possible to love ourselves when we come back to the shore?
The Moon is resting in Capricorn – pragmatic to the core. Business, public recognition, institutions and practicalities you cannot ignore. The effervescent energy of the number three day influence brings communication and intellectual pursuits to the fore – in spite of the ponderous sea goat’s trudge up the mountain of chores.
Archangel Barbiel is my companion today – constantly in fact. She whispers encouragement to release negativity from my thoughts – like an esoteric cheer squad to ensure a positive stride in my daily repertoire.
The morning brings a ray of hope chasing the darkness of my thoughts. It’s time to rise and make a difference in the world (or at least my tiny corner) once more - Life is precarious and the intangible threads weave a tapestry of truth and knowledge. Threads of discontent are littered around my feet cluttering up the floor.
Tonight I’ll reach for my scarf of optimism threads of red, golden, orange and yellow – knit one, purl one – slip one over – crafting a protective shawl; stroking the garment that will guard against the chills of rejection as I venture out the door.

Love, Peace and Happiness,
