Priest

Light – facilitates spiritual commitments – serves as a channel of spiritual energy.

Shadow – violates the trust of your spiritual community – seduced by your own spiritual role.

Look for a lifetime commitment to serving others by facilitating their spiritual rituals.

I have never knowingly or unknowingly worked in the shadow of this archetype. I won’t say that I spend a great deal of time in the light side either. Sure I work with spiritual energies but not in a community sense – more on an individual level.

The moon is in the relationship sign of Libra. The criticism and attention to detail has passed with the exit of the Virgo moon. Now we begin to look at our significant relationships with ourselves and others. The Libra Moon compliments the Gemini Sun perfectly – taking the discussions and relevant dialogues to a new level of intimacy.

It’s a 10/1 day in the cosmic calendar. Endings and beginnings play out while we prepare for the weekend ahead. It’s a cold and windy day in Canberra – and we are snug and warm inside. There will be times when we need to venture out into the crisp air but will be rugged up for sure.

Strength portends the ability to overcome the fear of change and the discomfort of transformation. We stay stuck in a rut when it seems to daunting to change our circumstances. Creature comforts are intoxicating. Does that mean we shouldn’t grab the next ride on the big dipper?

The Sun catches my imagination and takes me toward the Earth Goddess Gaia. She is Mother Earth. Her role is to facilitate seasonal growth. She seems to be sleeping right now but is she? The pregnancy is showing in the glow of knowledge that Spring will herald the birth of a new stage. For now she glistens in her crystalline knowledge that the seasonal shift will arrive on time.

The Priest archetype plays out in the quietness of our most sacred confidences. Honour those words whispered from a tortured soul. Be the confidante that holds the fears of others close to your own heart and take them with you when you leave this earth school.

Love, Peace and Sacred Words,

Julia Ashton-Sayers
